Mistletoe Wines
Just been on a wine tour, this (Mistletoe) was by far the friendliest and most engaging producer of them all, 3 generation family run, just lovely time! Mistletoe Winery is located on the beautifully scenic Hermitage Road area of Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley NSW, Australia. Mistletoe was established by the current owners in 1989 and will celebrate it's 31st anniversary in 2020.

Mistletoe is a "unique, boutique" winery that produces 4-5,000 cases of wine each year. With 15 - 20 wines on offer, for tasting and sales, Mistletoe has one of the most comprehensive ranges of wines in the Hunter Valley.
Services
The Mistletoe Winery motto, "Quality without Compromise" has motivated Ken & Gwen since establishing Mistletoe in 1989. This care and attention to detail that is rigorously followed at every stage of wine production, from the vineyard to the bottle, has earned Mistletoe the appreciation and support of thousands of wine lovers.
Mistletoe is not just a Cellar door, it is a genuine grape-growing and winemaking enterprise with all wine being made onsite in Mistletoe's modern purpose built winery. In recent times this real meaning of Cellar Door has been bastardised and is now freely applied to all sorts of wine businesses some of which have neither a vineyard, nor a winery, or in some cases, neither of these.
It is a fantastic road with 52 bridges and required over 5 million cubic metres of earthworks. It is a modern engineering marvel. For those of you who love visiting Mistletoe it is going to be a lot easier, safer, and faster from now on.

No need to drive through any towns or villages, you won't be held up by traffic or slow moving vehicles and, as the expressway, for the most part, passes through rural countryside, it is a much more scenic route than that through Cessnock.Don't be fooled by the signs at the old exit which proclaim it is less kilometres to go the old Freeman's Waterholes, Cessnock, route.
Mistletoe has created an easy to use website that includes up to the minute security to protect the information you share with us. However, we understand that some of our customers would prefer to place their orders by using email, fax, or even "snail mail".

Please make sure that you visit our website regularly for updates on New Releases, Latest News, and information regarding Special Sales, Events where you can see Mistletoe, and Winemaker's Dinners.
The owners of Mistletoe, Gwen and Ken Sloan, have been immersed in tasting, learning about, and producing wine for over 50 years. In the interests of serving their customers better they decided that they would abandon the idea of the industry wide approach of signing wine lovers up for "Wine Club Memberships" and getting them to commit to receiving regular deliveries of wine.

I went with a group of friends and our overwhelming experience was a negative one , the lady working there was extremely rude not just to us but to 2 couples at the adjacent tables . Not sure if we got her on a bad day ….

Every time we visit hunter valley, Mistletoe winery is a must stop. This place offers a homely feeling and the staff treats you like family! On top of that their dessert wines are amazing and I couldn't get enough of it!

What an amazing winery - third generation with a wonderful selection of wines. In a covid environment, they fulfill all obligations and make you feel comfortable. For a modest wine tasting fee, you receive a list of wines, a plastic cup for sampling, a paper cup for liquid waste, packet of cheese and buscuits and a bottle of water. Cassandra is both knowledgeable and happy to have a yarn - adds so much to the experience. Apart from the wines, there's the art gallery and sculpture display in the grounds. Highly recommend a visit.

We have just got home after a wonderful tasting at Mistletoe Winery, a small family winery. Cassandra was very open, friendly and knowledgeable and great company as she took us through the wines of our choice. The wines are great too. We enjoyed them all, and there is a very large range. Highly recommended.

Delightful setup. Safe and a tasting package which includes water bottle, cheese/cracker pack, serviette and individual wine profile to make your selections. Some great wines, loved the Pinot Gris and the Home Shiraz. Sangiovese light and flavoursome. Walked away with 2 of the Grand Reserve Shiraz as well. Thanks Cassandra and my own serving officer, Amy. Will be back next year!

Its rare you get to go to a cellar door and talk directly to the winemaker. At Misteltoe thats exactly what you get with Ken and Gwen both working the front of house. They are happy to chat about wines, theirs and others, life, experiences, travels. In fact anything you want.
Not only will you have a great conversation and a great tasting experience, but their wines are some of the best in the Valley without the pretentious prices. (Halliday 5 Red Stars Winery)

Cellar door was fabulous, we came as a large group which may have been unexpected and even unwanted but staff were accommodating and the wines delicious. Would definitely recommend booking any wine tastings in advance (groups over 8) to help the business plan accordingly but I was very impressed with how well they handled everything regardless. Would definitely be back!

Mistletoe Winery was without a doubt our favourite from our recent weekend. Cassandra was excellent at determining our wine preferences and quick to recommend other wineries at which to try of our palates. Our conversation with her during the tasting was delightful. We learned of her family's wine making, even of their quirks. We did not feel like we needed to rush to allow her to attend to other patrons, who were receiving the same level of attention. Our favourite wine was the Fiarno, which surprised us. We have already had a bottle at home, tasted even better. And the sculpture garden is an
