Muscleworx offers Myotherapy and Remedial Massage in the Essendon area. Our experienced therapists are here to help with your muscular pain, tightness, mobility and restricted movement. Myotherapy (muscular therapy) is a form of physical therapy used to treat or prevent muscular and soft tissue pain (myofascial pain) and restricted joint movement.
It involves assessing the injury or dysfunction, physically treating the pain using various techniques such as soft tissue therapy, deep tissue massage, dry needling and stretching, followed by rehabilitation to treat any underlying causes. Dysfunctions may arise from chronic muscle tightness from sporting, recreational or occupational activities, injury, trauma or surgery, postural or genetic conditions.

Myotherapy is the assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions which can cause pain and muscular dysfunction, affecting movement and mobility. Myotherapists utilize a range of treatment techniques to restore and maintain the normal integrity of the soft tissue structures (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia).
During this initial consultation, your therapist will collect information from you regarding your general health and your presenting condition, helping us to find the cause or dysfunction. Following the consultation, your Myotherapist will be able to determine the best treatment plan for you. This treatment will then be tailored to treat the cause and the presenting symptoms.
Yes, all of our therapists are highly qualified and members of a professional association (Myotherapy Association Australia) with provider numbers for most health funds and are very experienced. Myotherapists can be thought of as specialist massage therapists, having completed extensive study and training.

I have been going to Leah and her team for many years now and I have never been unhappy with the care that I have received.
The staff listen, check in with how you are feeling during the therapy and whilst I always feel sore when I leave I know that this will eventually settle down and I will feel great.
Cant wait to see you all again

I was here for a remedial massage and not a relaxation massage but the lights were extremely bright when laying on your back, dimming would have been good if they had it. Also light music would have been nice instead of a typical radio station along with all of the ads that go with it. Basic stuff but common sense when it comes to this type of business.
The remedial massage? It was ok but didn't seem very thorough, felt a bit rushed. Nice enough lady though.
