We cannot answer that for you as everybody's circumstances are different, however, we have developed a network of brokers who can assess your individual situation and guide you through the process of applying for finance. In the meantime, the information below will answer some common questions about financing granny flats.
Granny flats are officially known as 'Secondary Dwellings' and may be located within, attached to, or separate from, the 'Principal Dwelling'. Granny flats may be approved in 10 days by a council or accredited certifier if the design meets the Complying Development provisions set out within the AHSEPP.

Peter and his team, were very helpful and proactive to deal with. They took time to carefully consider the positioning of our granny flat on the block. They had plans to us in a timely manner, the project ran slightly ahead of schedule and with extensive details in the handover. All materials selected were supplied without hiccup. Peter was proactive in dealing with us, keeping us in the loop, providing progress photos and providing ideas for final landscape design, which we outsourced. I am so very happy with my Granny Flat built by PJ Cook in Woodberry. The whole team onsite were courteous and professional at all times. The quality of my build is impressive. It took me over a year of looking at other builders before settling with PJ Cook. The only disappointment is that the slide out range hood was unobtainable, so I settled for a fixed one. I am sure I can live with that. Absolutely no hesitation to recommend them to anyone looking at building a granny flat. Handover is tomorrow. I am one very excited and happy customer. Jo

I signed a contract for a granny flat with PJ Cook mid March last year. I supplied them with a detailed, to scale drawing of the granny flat, it took them four and a half months to produce a set of plans, Their draftsman seemed unable to reproduce my drawing without making errors, he even got the windows wrong after I had sent him a schedule with the code numbers of the windows required. Things didn't improve much after that and at the end of eleven months I decided I no longer had any faith in them and decided to build with another builder, even it it meant I would loose the almost $9000 I had

We employed PJ Cook in 2016 to put in a 2 bed granny flat for us.
Peter was extremely professional from the start. Great communication all the way and has certainly been the best thing we ever did to generate a great investment income!
I named our granny flat "Happy Cottage Woy Woy" as it is holiday accommodation and it makes people feel happy.

Thank you to the Team at PJ Cook Building for the build of our Granny Flat on our investment property. Peter was quick to respond to any questions that we had. Once the project got started, it was very quick to completion, especially over the Covid19 period. There were a few hurdles along the way, which had nothing to do with PJ Cook but Peter made this much easier to deal with and we are very appreciative to him.
The finish product of our Granny Flat is impeccable. Peter's eye for detail is impressive, which has resulted in the most beautiful Granny Flat (inside and out) that I have ever seen
