Less than three hours' drive north west of Brisbane, this quirky country town is the perfect country getaway. Kingaroy is the ideal base from which to explore the vineyards, cellar doors and farm shops of the South Burnett wine region.
We had a great stay at the Ascot motel - lovely clean modern rooms with a big spa bath. The best thing we did was order room service and WOW the Rib fillet steak with prawns in a creamy garlic sauce was delicious. Staff were lovely too! A colleague & I stayed here for the first time while on a work trip to Kingaroy.
