Bussells Bushland Cottages is situated amongst historic dairy-farming country, in the heart of the picturesque Margaret River wine region of Western Australia. The rustic charm of our 8 well appointed, self-contained cottages is complemented by the natural (20 hectare) bushland setting. It's accessed via a 600 metre tree-lined driveway, off Carters Road and is just 5kms from the centre of Margaret River township.
All 8 are of rammed-earth construction with private facilities, 2 bedrooms, a sitting area, dining facilities, fully-equipped kitchen and covered front verandah. All are self-contained with colour TV, DVD player, refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, glassware, electric kettle and toaster.
Bussells Bushland Cottages is located in the South West of Western Australia, near the town of Margaret River. Travelling south along Bussell Highway and just before entering Margaret River township, turn right into Carters Road and proceed for around 4kms, then (on the left hand side) enter the property's 600 metre (tree-lined) driveway.
We're extremely grateful for the generosity shown, but want it to be known that we're not resting on our laurels. Distance and travel time from Perth? It's roughly 290kms from Perth to Margaret River and it takes around 3 hours (non-stop). The speed limit varies (maximum 110kmh) and we urge drivers to watch out for signs and to take care, particularly at dusk (and south of Bunbury) when kangaroos can be out and about.

This amazing little place was clean and equipped for our stay. From the beautiful and clean cottage we stayed in, down to the prepared kindling and firewood, we could not fault our stay. There were walking tracks available and the close location to the town made our stay more convenient and eventful than hoped for. Loved our stay, would highly recommend.

My wife and I recently stayed for our honeymoon. The rooms were clean and spacious and the service was excellent. I left behind something important to my wife and the owners were kind enough to post it to us. Would highly recommend a stay here. We loved the bush setting that seemed so far away from the world yet only a few minutes drive to the centre of Margaret river

Our 4 night stay at Bussells Bushland Cottages was just perfect. Our beautiful cottage overlooked the paddock which was always full of Kangaroos (to the delight of our 12 month old!). The log fire was great and made the cottage nice and cosy when relaxing of an evening, especially during the stormy weather outside. The hosts Ange and John were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The cottage was very clean and the beds were very comfy (with electric blankets too). The WiFi worked well and the location was ideal with plenty of things to do only a short drive away. We also walked along

We’ve stayed here many times and would thoroughly recommend it. The cottages are cosy and private, and the owners and staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic as it is set in the middle of a peaceful forest, yet it’s only a five-minute drive from Margaret River town centre, so you get the best of both worlds.
