Right in the heart of the Walpole Wilderness area, close to Walpole townsite, a host of local scenic attractions and nature at your doorstep. Walpole Wilderness Resort was established in 1998 on a privately owned rural property of 170 acres of Karri and Tingle forests, just 15 minutes north of Walpole, on the South Coast of Western Australia.

Each chalet has been designed so guests can appreciate the most magnificent panoramic views while maintaining their privacy. Walpole Wilderness Resort is also located in the middle of the newly proclaimed Walpole Wilderness Area, a huge 378,000 hectares of Western Australia's southern forest. This is an important part of an international biodiversity hotspot, home to threatened plant and animal species and others found nowhere else in the world.
Services
All our 4 star chalets are fully self-contained and have been built by craftsmen with extensive use of timber, including polished jarrah floors, exposed jarrah rafters and pine ceiling linings. The four chalets will cater to most sleeping arrangements having three generous bedrooms. In the main bedroom of each cottage, there is a private heated spa with forest views, a Queen size bed and an ensuite shower.
Walpole Wilderness Resort is located only a short distance from the beautiful coastal town of Walpole, Western Australia and makes an ideal base for exploring the diverse array of scenic attractions the area has to offer. However, many guests leave disappointed that they didn't get to see all of Walpole's unique sights, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to fit it all in.

Spent 3 nights here. Excellent place for the whole family with an abundance of nature, in the middle of the forest and quiet location. The family loved it. We'll definitely be back and we recommend it to others. Worth the road trip from Perth

Wow, wow, the minute you step into the gorgeous cottage, better than 'home-away-from-home'! EVERYTHING you could possibly need to just 'kick-back' and RELAX. Even washing machine, dryer, full kitchen, wood chopped and ready daily, spa & much, much more. Being quietly nestled among grass paddocks and mature trees, our bestest experience was the kangaroos and joey's below our very own wrap around verandah/balcony. The cottage was meticulously 'spick & span' when we arrived and a really cosy feeling to it. The manager's Andrew & Anne, were absolutely marvellous, efficient and made us very, very welcome

Well set out grounds with plenty of space, good walking tracks. Cabins are clean and well presented. Loads of kangaroos and birds in and around the grounds.

Loved this little cabin right in the middle of a nature reserve! The lady at the reception was very friendly (though the signage to the office could be clearer)! The place is so serene and quiet, perfect for star gazing in a clear night. Kangaroos come right to your doorstep. Cabin is well equipped with cooking facilities, fireplace, and even a jacuzzi in the master bed room.

Very lovely location & comfortable chalet. However could do with bit of a revamp. I found the ablutions a bit odd. Didn't use jacuzzi as in full view of park. Shower in room made moisture which made clothes damp. Would be better to have second washbasin & WC instead of jacuzzi.

This was absolutely lovely. We stayed for 3 nights. The accommodation was great - clean, spacious, kitchen well appointed etc. The veranda looked out on the trees and valley, with lots of wildlife to watch while chilling out after a day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to get away from it all in some comfort. Note: there is no phone reception, and internet only available at the office, so prepare to unplug!
