Phillip Island Waterfront House (formerly owned by Shearwater by the Sea Pty Ltd or SBS) was the vision of 5 families originating from a ski lodge at Mt Hotham. The founding families joined with 10 families in total and commissioned architect Roberta Rees to design the most amazing property from a stringent design brief.
The objective was to be absolute beach front with the best view on Phillip Island and located on an amazing swimming and surf beach. Inspiration for the curved roof lines breaking across the building came from the rolling ocean waves always in view and the local sand dunes.

If there has been a power outage, the gas hot water service will need to be turned back on. To do this, you will need to press the "On/Off" button on one hot water controller on each level. Level 1 controller is in the Laundry cupboard or Billiard Room on the left hand side of the sink. Level 2 controller is under the kitchen sink or in the small upstairs bedroom (Pyramid Rock Room) wardrobe as shown in the video.

This house is perfect for a family getaway or a small group retreat. The views of the surf beach from the top floor are amazing, whether the weather is sunny or stormy. The full view from the top storey bathroom window is an extra treat! We only attended during the day because of the size of our group, but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we were surprised by the amount of room available for our business meetings. The kitchen was also a plus in this regard. I would recommend this venue for your next retreat.

We have just spent a glorious week at Phillip Island Waterfront House! The views to the ocean are just spectacular. To be able to lay on the couch and watch the waves crash in is just gorgeous. The kids especially the loved the third floor landing and telescope to be able to watch the waves up high!
The close proximity to the beach means that no… driving is involved only a short 2 min walk till your feet touch sand!
Trish and Cameron were lovely hosts that go the extra mile for their guests. Free Wifi and Netflix were great to have at night time when we wanted to relax on the sofa!

We had an amazing Christmas and Boxing day at this house. It was comfortable enough for our family of six plus two other families and some day visitors also. Plenty for the kids to do...beach walks and cricket, surfing and body boarding, bike rides, pool and a big backyard to kick the footy, play hide'n'seek, chasey...all those simple games that… create treasured family memories. We loved to stop and enjoy the amazing seaviews that are available throughout the entire house. You can be as active or as lazy as you like, the house caters for wet weather too with puzzles, DVD player, pool table

Our family had a wonderful weekend at the house. Real relaxing with family and friend. Good location for beach activities but too windy in this weekend. However, there's fun activities inside a house, we enjoyed with pool game and table tennis. A good view in living room that you can see both side of the sea. Absolutely recommend !!!

Our stay at the Phillip Island Waterfront House was PERFECT! The house boasts stunning views from the balconies and we were not disappointed; we were even able to catch a view of whales swimming along the coastline from the upstairs living room window!
The house facilities are fantastic too; there are 4 spacious bedrooms, each with an en-suite, excellent kitchen and laundry facilities, a BBQ, billiards room, table tennis table, and everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The beach is just a two minute walk away from the house where you can lap up the sun, enjoy a dip

We felt truly spoilt to be able to spend a weekend relaxing at the Phillip Island Waterfront House. Watching the rolling waves whilst sitting in the comfortable lounge, what bliss!!
Awaking to beautiful sunrises out one window and admiring awesome sunsets from the other. There was really no need to leave the comfort of the house but the short stroll enticed us to the breathtaking surf beach where we enjoyed long walks on the sand and exploring the rock pools at low tide.
Cameron and Trish were great to deal with, very friendly and welcoming, and the house had everything we needed. We are looking

Imagine sitting on the deck over looking Surf Beach and Churchill Island, whilst sipping on your drink, you can hear the crashing waves, smell the salt air, feel the cool breeze after a lovely day at the beach. The snags are cooking on the BBQ, the kids are playing cricket in the ample backyard and you can watch them from the deck in peaceful serenity. Later you will soak in the spa bath watching the Shearwater birds come home as the sun sets. The boys are downstairs playing snooker on the pool table whilst your little ones are tucked up in their spacious bedrooms. The next day you cook everyone
