I contacted Yellow to submit a claim and a member of the Yellow Jersey Team was on the phone & Email to offer advise and support. I find that very Professional and Responsive. Excellent customer service YJ team.
Once I submitted all the required documents including any supporting evidence, the claim was settled and payment received for the value of the Item. Special thanks to Mr Kien Dang for his assistance throughout the entire process.

Honestly, what a waste of money this company has been. I have sadly had my bike recently stolen from a code secured bike shed located in my building's courtyard, to which access is also code secured. The bike was also locked to a special bike railing with a U-lock. I have just received a reply from Yellow Jersey saying that unfortunately they cannot pay out because my lock wasn't on Sold Secure's website. I bought it along with my bike off an American website, so no, it's not going to be on some English body's list. (Plenty of virtually identical locks, just different brands, were on that list

Insuring bike with Yellow Jersey Ultimate Insurance and on bike theft, claim getting rejected.
Only get insurance from Yellow Jersey if you park your bike inside your room locked to your bed.
Anything else won't be covered in insurance as they will come up with some reason to reject your claim in one email conversation.

Thankfully my first time having to claim on bike insurance, but Yellow Jersey made the process as smooth and painless as possible. The Claims Manager that I dealt (Jon) with was clearly passionate about cycling and it was a pleasure to discuss the claim (and chat bikes) with him. Very responsive throughout and with regular updates, the damage claim was fully processed and replacement parts sent out very quickly. Would definitely recommend the service and will be continuing with cover for my new bike too.

Cant recommend this company enough. The claim process was super easy and fast when my bike got stolen. They even helped me find my next bike and were really patient with me. All the guys I spoke to were really friendly, in particular Kien who I had the most contact with. I wont be getting my insurance from anyone else!

Be very careful before taking out bike insurance with them. I would advise calling them up to confirm what your policy covers before taking out insurance with them. They seem like a great company to insure your bike with IF you bought it new from a retailer. However, if you got a good deal on a bike second hand be very careful as you are highly unlikely to get like-for-like in the event of a claim. I bought my bike in new condition second hand for half price. They would only let me list the value of my bike as the price that I paid. However, due to covid and brexit price inflation the cost of replacement

I needed another insurer as the previous one (which was great by the way) had stopped providing cover for outdoor activities instruction.
I found Yellow Jersey mentioned on a cycling business site and from first getting in touch they've been great to deal with.
I've just sorted a renewal after a year and Charlotte has been great, even though I've been a bit slow to respond to emails! Very helpful, professional and clear. Friendly over the phone or by email.
