I booked a room for my parents and visited them myself while at the property. The room upon check in was tidy and had a nice partial view of the bay. The location is also very convenient however I was disappointed with the lack of hospitality. Firstly, we asked for housekeeping as the quilt needed to be changed. 3 hours later they rang me saying they cannot find a clean and spare king size quilt in the whole hotel although the hotel wasn't booked out. The room wasn't even tidied, the wet towels were not collected from the floor nor was the rubbish bin collected . Instead they gave two single quilts

For over $700 per night you would expect at least water in the fridge. No snacks at all. We had to put a sheet up on the bathroom door as when the door was fully closed, there were big gaps on both sides that everyone in the room could see you through. The sofa bed had 2 metal bars making it impossible to sleep on. At that price you would also expect free parking but we had to pay $27 per night. The staff were wonderful especially a young lady named Annalise (sorry if that was misspelt), she is definitely a credit to your team. We stayed over the Christmas period at Novotel Geelong and were not satisfied with the services provided.
Firstly, we paid over $400 for one night and did not get any complementary parking instead charged us extra for Valet parking.
We were asked to check in at 3pm and did not even get a meal at the dining area as the kitchen was closed ,in that case we atleast expected a complimentary drink to be offered to us.
When using the dining area, the serves of food was way too little for the price. We paid an extra 15% surcharge because of the public holidays, however the service was terrible and we

Great service, rooms, views (for front half of hotel) location and food. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Reception service was excellent. Only slightly negative comment would be that the hot water for tea at breakfast old have been hotter and the coffee machines wasn't amazing. But small inconveniences from an overall excellent stay 👍

Was disappointed with our stay here.
Firstly 50% of the staff were super friendly, 50% super cold. Weird.
Our original room had ants crawling over the beds and the smoke alarm was beeping, so they changed our room for us.
Room service food was CRAZY EXPENSIVE and not worth the money. Very average tiny portioned food.
Gym wasn’t open, which is weird because gyms are allowed to be open.
Breakfast buffet was pretty average too. Scrambled eggs were watery and tasted like nothing?! And they ran out of bacon half way through the session and didn’t make any more.
Then after breakfast at 10.45am

Room was extremely clean and staff were really friendly. The hallways were tidy and it looks like it was just renovated. Best location with heaps of fun things to do. Some rooms have an amazing bay view. Also have a huge amount of space in the room for all of your holiday essentials and a big desk for anything from laptop to a puzzle. Also every room has a balcony with a small table and chairs. They also have one of the best restaurants in Geelong. Everyone was very accommodating and you could book your room in for a daily service (towel replacement, extra toilet paper, more complementary shampoo
