Services
Moorong Veterinary Clinic provides the pets of Wagga Wagga with an after-hours emergency service for critical illness or injury. We respond to veterinary emergencies 24hours a day, 7 days a week. We hope your pet never needs us for an emergency however, common emergencies relate to car accidents, heart conditions, poisoning and a range of injuries.
Pets, on average, age five to eight times faster than humans. By age two, most pets have already reached adulthood. At age four, many are entering middle age. By age seven, many dogs, particularly larger breeds, are entering their senior years. Because pets age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short amount of time.
Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care requires kittens to be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the rest of their lives.
There are two broad categories of worms that may affect our pet dogs and cats, intestinal worms and heartworms. Worming is one of the first health care issues pet owners need to address as pups and kittens are the most susceptible. As their name suggests, intestinal worms are parasites that live inside your pet's intestines.
There are two broad categories of worms that may affect our pet dogs and cats, heartworm and intestinal worms. Please see our intestinal worm page for more information. Heartworm, or Dirofilaria immitis, is a parasite that is spread by mosquitoes, so you pet does not even need to be in contact with other pets to become infected!

Despite being super busy during the new year, they were so accommodating with our sick dog and took their time to give him the care he needed in his final days. Carina and Amber were wonderful: attentive, empathetic, compassionate, and made all the medical language very accessible for us, making sure we understood everything that was happening. We have 2 other dogs and every time we take them in, they have always been very empathetic and caring. Thank you so much :)

Took my 3 yr old cat Charlie here after receiving bad incompetent "care" at 2 other small town vets, 1 even wanted to euthanase him without further testing, I was treated with compassion & respect, even in my blubbering mess, Clayton soon diagnosed Charlie & after a 2 night stay in their care was well on the way to recovery. Have called them several times for advice since & have always received professional, caring advice & calls back when promised. Highly recommended; will take both my cats here now. Thank-you Moorong Vet Clinic
