Struggletown is a modern, friendly, A-class veterinary hospital located in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. We provide all the help you need to care for your pet, from up-to-date veterinary treatment through boarding, grooming and puppy training. The Lincoln Institute recognises the achievement of attaining and maintaining the highest level of leadership qualification currently available for Veterinary Professionals in Australia and New Zealand.

This means that Dr Antony Kery and Dr Simon Roberts as owners of Struggletown endeavour to provide the best working environment we can to look after all of our staff, so that they are then at the top of their game to provide our clients with the amazing and excellent care that we have always prided ourselves on.
Services
Simon is one of the principal vets of Struggletown. He is a 1989 graduate of Sydney University, has worked in the Hunter Valley, 4 years in the UK, and then joined Struggletown in 1996. He enjoys all areas of general practice and sees pet ownership as one of the best experiences life has to offer. Simon's wife Sarah runs our puppy classes and they have two daughters, Tully and Skye and a son, Toby.
Mel has been in the industry for 15 years and has been part of the Struggletown team for the last 10. Mel has been our head nurse for a while and has recently taken on the role of practice manager as well. Mel is our very own cat whisperer and has a real passion for kitten rescue and will try to attempt to save anything that has a chance.
Puppy School offers a safe and pleasant environment to socialise your puppy with other puppies of a similar age. This is of great importance as it helps your pup learn how to behave with other dogs, people, and children - an essential skill for everyday living. Holding classes in our veterinary hospital means your puppy will learn that it is fun to go to the vet and will not develop a "fear of the vet".
We offer professional consultations on a wide range of problems, for all domestic pets. Appointments are available from 8am - 8:30pm weekdays, 9am - 4:30 pm Sat, 9am - 3:30 pm Sundays. We work on an appointment basis to help reduce waiting times to a minimum, we will try our best to accommodate walk-in consultations and of course emergencies wherever possible.
Vaccination appointments always include a full physical examination and discussion of preventative care and any problems you may have with your animal. The appointment usually takes 15- 20 minutes. Struggletown uses the most up to date vaccines giving the highest level of protection.

This means we still see your dog for a full health check and vaccination annually, however the C3 component is only given once every 3 years, while the canine cough booster is given annually.Parvovirus: causes haemorrhagic (bloody) diarrhoea and vomiting and can be fatal, especially in young dogs.

The team at struggletown vets have looked after my beautiful Buzz with kindness and professionalism. Their patience has won him over and they always had time to answer all my questions. Buzz is now running again after a serious surgery and I'm very grateful to everyone at struggletown.

Honestly so impressed with the care my Dog Jax received at Struggletown vets! He had surgery with Dr Ellis and she was so informative and took the time to run through every detail with me which really helped put my mind at ease! All the other staff I dealt with who’s names I didn’t catch, were also so helpful and friendly making when both dropping off and picking up Jax! Would definitely recommend!

Really disappointed with the service!
Overcharged for services after being told a price.
Undergo further surgeries without prior approval.
Was expected to return the next day to collect our belongings.
Just massively ripped off and over priced. Even worse that they knew they were ripping me off.
Just really disappointed, would not recommended to anyone.
If it was possible to give a zero I would!!
ALL PET OWNERS PLEASE TAKE INTO CONISDERATION!!!!!

We adopted a cat from the RSPCA and she needed to get stitches out from previous hernia surgery. I called Struggletown Vet and they were very professional and kind on the phone. They removed the stitches the next day for free. Because of the great customer service and kind attentive treatment to our cat, we signed up to be customers that day. Highly recommend!

Sadly the service at Struggleton has been deteriorating.
I had previously received some great care nursing my previous dog through a heart murmur, however the care with my latest dog has been deteriorating over some time to the point where we were turned away for emergency surgery (from our regular vet no less) as they are full until February. I would have expected that a non essential surgery might have been delayed to fit in an emergency surgery - which seems to be a common practice.
We will definitely be moving to another vet after this latest experience - we have heard North Randwick Veterinary

Thanks for Dr Chan treat my lovely girl's one mouth bad and dirty teeth. Because of her age (she is 15 years old) and the price (at least $1600), I once hesitated whether let her do the treatment. Well compare with other vet's price, dental fee always cost so much. And we believe it would be a better choice for her. Fortunately, after the operation just one day, my lovely girl become as active as before. Her mouth now smell good, and looks with better appetite. I am so appreciated with the service and Dr Chan's nice patience and high professional skill in here. Let her has a good and comfortable
