Moroccan spiced marinated Kangaroo, creamy sweet potato mash, pickled red cab- bage, chilli tomato jam, . House made butter soft gnocchi, tossed with pork sausage, chilli and fennel, finished with olive. Extremely disappointed with my meal at The Strand. I ordered the chicken parma with no toppings… just as a plain schnitzel. When it came out, it was a parma with no cheese… but covered with sauce and ham. Waitress was fine and brought it back to the kitchen. 5 mins later, my schnitzel comes out and all seemed good. But I noticed a bit of the sauce… on the chips, so I flipped the schnitzel over only to find that instead of making me a new schnitzel, they had scraped the sauce off the schnitzel and served it up again. The remaining crumbing was still soaked in sauce. I ordered

VERY VERY noisy!!!!
Went there with a group of 12 on a Saturday night. Bad choice.
The food was generally good, but one person had to wait over an hour for his meal. The drinks service was extremely slow, especially if you ordered a cocktail from the specials list. The staff kept asking how everything was, then didn't like the replies, excusing the excessively slow service on a lack of staff. Hardly classy, with one waitress coming to the table and saying "What do you want at this table"
Don't go there in a busy time!

Fantastic Saturday night out. What a brilliant vibe this place has. Glad we got a table as it was packed. The food was amazing - wife believes its the best Bolognese she has ever had. The Ragu yum. The slow cooked pork ribs amazing. The quality of the food was really high. The staff were really friendly and hospitable. Brilliant service! We really enjoyed sitting in the lounge area after dinner having a couple of cocktails with some dessert. Impressive. Really impressive. We will be back next time we are in Adelaide.

Been to the restaurant and had the salt and pepper squid and it was delectable but then ordered take away and the dressing size was preposterous...far too much sauce..could barely finish my meal due to the acidity of the taste. very disappointing yet I persevered because it is my favourite meal of all time. still giving 4 stars due to the dine in meal being scrumptious 👍

After being patrons of The Strand for over 20 years we sadly we won't be returning. When the waiter collected our plates he asked if everything was ok and I commented that my husband didn't like his salt and pepper squid. I was condescendingly told "perhaps next time he can order something more to his liking" Well sorry there will be no next time for these long time customers. Not only was the dish rubbish but the waiter's attitude was rubbish too!!
