Delicious food with a perfect view over the habour. At Saturday night's, you can see fireworks right outside the window.
The service is amazing and I would definitely come back. There are Asian food, fish, chicken and meat - so everything you can wish for. All food is made directly from the kitchen!
It's also close to the Star casino, so just jump further to continue a great night! ⭐🌃

Good food, nice atmosphere and great service. Food is a fusion combination with Western and Asian cuisine. Presentation skills need to be improved. Otherwise a great experience overall.

Must visit The Ternary whenever time I was in Sydney!A restaurant never failed me!
First the food is without question good, the grill kitchen offer really good quality steak and salmon both are my favourite and the garlic naan bread and soft shell crab bun from Asian kitchen is really good too!
Secondly the environment is absolutely amazing, enjoy the vibes every time when I was dining here!
Lastly and the most importantly the staff working in The Ternary, they are professional kindness and cheerful!I especially enjoyed sitting next to grill kitchen seat when I dine alone, the chef are very professional

This was our second visit to the Ternary and we really enjoyed our meal. We were given a warm welcome and given a window table. For Entree we ordered the Seared Scallops and Salt and Pepper Calamari. For main we shared the Balmain bugs. Service was excellent as was the food and presentation. We are accor members so we received a discount on our dining. I highly recommend this establishment.

Very nice,. We showed up w/o a "booking" (reservation) on a Friday night and staff worked hard to find us a spot. Angel was our server and was angelic. Food very good and filling. I had filet mignon and my wife had a Korean bulgogi adaptation which she loved. Both perfectly cooked and seasoned. Wonderful fresh oysters as well. Food and service excellent. Down side is it's a bit pricey as it is inside Novotel hotel on Darling Harbor. I recommend!!

Dined here with friends and family. Food is mostly amazing and staff were attentive. I ordered food to share and they are all sumptuous. Rendang was good but it would have been better if it wasn’t a bit dry. Everything else was really good. Highly recommended for a fine dining experience. I suggest they get big tables for big number of groups who are dining. Our table wasnt big enough for 9of us.

This place is situated inside the Novotel hotel.
Had a late lunch at the front part of this restaurant & chose a few dishes from their all day menu. Calamari was good & melted in your mouth, I wasn’t a fan of the dipping sauce for it & asked for aioli instead. The arancini also very crunchy with beautiful fillings. The main part of the restaurant was closed which seemed more formal as opposed to the front part which had more of a casual feel to it.
Service was very friendly & the food came out quick which was good as we all were starving.
Although this place is inside a hotel it has great

The prawn curry was delicious, the noodles could have done with more of a kick in my opinion. The dim sum starter was really good too. Didn't make it to dessert as we were too full. Ambience was nice and relaxed, epitome of smart casual. I'd go back 👍

One of the best meals I've eaten in Sydney. We did the degustation menu with naan bread, dim sum, peppered beef, king prawns, tiki masala, lion of beef and to finish it off the Eaton mess. What a great find.

This place is just great. Chef Robbie is still there. I love this restaurant, the way you sit around the kitchen and watch your meal be prepared.
Thanks again for such a fun night of great food and laughter.

Spacious, open area for functions and events. Whether it's for personal or business occasion this place won't disappoint. The selection of food and servings were generous, the view to the city on the balcony was a good spot. Prices of cocktails and beer was fair. But it was the staff and service which was well above parr. I will be coming here again.

The Ternary has two open kitchens for the mains and for the grills. The food quality for the entree was nice. It was the crab & chicken pea puff. It first looked normal, but as soon as digging into the inside, the puree was nicely balanced with saltiness and citric.
The two main course didn't disappoint me as well. It's not often there were lots of greens (fresh and cooked) on the plate with the grilled meals. I liked the choice of source that goes with the T-bone and the bugs. The considerate wrapped lemon is a plus in this fine dining experience.
The dessert was coconut creme brulee. It was

The best things come in threes. Like it's namesake, The Ternary, derived from latin word, "ternarius" - constitutes three elements; bar, wok and grill with three dishes on this Winter Warmers menu. The soft hues of flamingo pink reel you in as you ascend into the space, the warmth of the fireplace provides sanctuary from the winter cold as its flames and embers whisper distinctly through the bustling main dining area.  The walk to our table takes us through the 'ternarius' core, heading past the award winning bar, Asian kitchen and tandoor and finally passing the sizzling

One of my top meal experiences. The hospitality of the hostess, the friendliness of the kitchen staff and the quality of the food was top notch. If you can get a seat at the counter surrounding the main kitchen, do it! The 'show' and the proximity of the chefs to explain what each dish was is a treat worth the price of the meal. It's always a pleasure to watch skilled people work.

Love the delicious food here as it's always cooked to perfection. The Chefs are personable and get a seat at the Chef's grill so you can be entertained by professionals.
My favorite meals are the Bugs, Thai papaya salad, steaks and any of the seafoods, Zucchini flowers are a must have.
Opens at 6 pm so get there early as it's always packed especially on the weekends.

It's called Ternary because it has 3 modes: grill, wok, and wine. I went with the first and the third. I had the fish of the day, which was a cod, on a bed of green stuff. Pretty solid slightly upmarket meal. The waiter was a young chap who seemed to be very curious about me and my American accent. He was wondering if I was there on business and whether business was paying for it. He also remarked that I looked sunburned. I was.

It was an odd conversation where I felt like a specimen, a curiosity. I don't know why it happened. I don't know if I'll ever get used to people from

We selected this restaurant for dinner from a Trip Adviser recommendation. Delicious! The goat curry, marked as a house specialty, really was spectacular. I ordered with a side of naan. My dining partner ordered the Scotch fillet which was also delicious and cooked perfectly. As steak lovers, we were surprised to find we both preferred the curry!
The wait staff was a little distracted but pleasant enough! Recommend!

For a bar located in novotel - the ternary is quite affordable with a variety of selections for drinks.

Happy hour from five to seven everyday where drinks are only five bucks.

My friends had been here for an eight course degustation and raved about the place.

Bartenders are cute. They don't really do table service so you order at the bar.

Their drinks list has cocktails and mocktails. The cocktails have funny names. My friend got the woman on the rye cocktail and loved it.

I had the refreshing limeade which had fresh watermelon juice, fresh lime juice and strawberries with my chosen

My wife and I enjoyed a nice romantic dinner here while in Sydney on holidays. We loved that the Head Chef himself came out to visit with us and answer questions about the menu, as did the restaurant Manager.

We opted for the beef vindaloo, lentil curry and pomegranate lamb ribs. All three were great and the service was exceptional. We sipped wine over looking the water and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Our only gripe was that the servers themselves weren't overly good, but over all it was great.

Last week The Ternary celebrated its first birthday. If you're scratching your head at the name, the restaurant draws its name from the Latin word 'ternarius' meaning three. It's a nod to the three pillars of this flashy space - grill, wok and wine - tucked away in the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour.

To make the evening doubly special, French parent group AccorHotels were also celebrating a birthday - their 25th Anniversary here in Australia. And where better to celebrate it, than in the hotel where they first began their Australian operations back in 1991 - the Novotel
