Formed in 2012 Southside Dental Group (originally Southside Family Dental) has been perfecting smiles for families in the South Brisbane region for over five years. Principal Dentist and Owner Dr Vishnu Sivakumar has almost 10 years experience in practicing dentistry and has built a team of professional dentists and support staff at each of the locations.
Dr Vishnu Sivakumar graduated from Anglican Church Grammar High School in Brisbane in 2003. Upon graduation he accepted an offer from Griffith University in 2008. He graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. Doctor Vish has been practicing dentistry since completing his tertiary studies in 2008.
Priyena was born in Fiji and spent the earlier part of her upbringing embracing the Pacific island lifestyle. Being raised by parents who are passionate health professionals, she became motivated to join the health sector herself in some capacity. She moved to New Zealand solo in 2012 to pursue studies at the University of Otago and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery after 5 years.

Southside Dental Group dental crowns are manufactured by local Australian labs and all patients will be given a certificate of authenticity. A crown (or cap) is a tooth shaped restoration that encases the entire tooth surface, and restores the shape and size of the tooth.

This is such a great dentist. Especially if you have a child who is not a fan of going to the dentist. The staff are friendly and helpful. The first time we attended was truly the best experience for myself as a parent and for my daughter. My only regret is that I wish I had gone there sooner. It is now a pleasure to go to the dentist !

I would really put 5 stars if everything went well. Suddenly they decided to not to go ahead on my son's treatment after went through all the process from last few months which is really waste of our time. If they would let us know that before we will look into a different options. Its really frustrating and also we don't know how to console my son who was eagerly waiting for the teeth fix. It all happened when we just about to pay the payment.
This is really not a professional way.

Very friendly and professional service! Dr Vish and his team provide the highest level of dental care and treatments. I recently had excruciating toothache which was quickly treated resulting in the pain being relieved promptly. A root canal treatment process was required and these appointments were scheduled at convenient times. The procedures were virtually pain-free and I felt I was in safe hands at all times. I highly recommend making Southside Dental Group your family dentist!
