The Deck Bar is a Darwin Restaurant and Bar in the heart of the city serving freshly prepared meals overlooking the iconic Parliament House.

Awesome place for an afternoon drink, rspecially when it's hot and humid, outdoor fans work a treat.
They have a really great food menu also, the laksa and crunchy salad are always good.

Took my 9 yo and 16 yo with me and had a great meal. The biggest spag bog you have ever seen demolished by my teenager. I had the chicken pasta which was great. Suggest earlier dinner if on a Friday or Saturday if you have kids

Staff were nice. Good happy hour prices ($6 schooners, wine and spirits 4-6pm).
Food was average though. Burgers were small and the chicken burgers' batter was quiet dry. Loaded fries was good sized and tasty.
Overall nice vibe of a bar but loud outside with road noise

If you want a drink, fine. If you want freshly cooked food, don't bother. Ordered Pad Thai & Massaman Curry, both were obviously precooked and sitting in a warmer as they weren't even hot. Pad Thai had very little flavour.
It's very noisy, you could hear the bingo that was going on outside while sitting inside next to the speaker.
I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Ahh The Deck Bar .. what can i say.. Laksa lovers this is a must visit destination. Has been about 3 years since ive been here and they are as still as yummo as i remember. Cannot wait to come back for another. Lets not forget sitting outside enjoying the breeze with a Great Northern to wash it down.

A nice deck to relax on with a cold beer in your hand. I went for 49% off beer for happy hour on a Sunday and picked up a Gold XXXX pint for $4.50. I felt as if that was a good price for what I was given. Tunes bumping and a nice view make this an enjoyable location to visit while you are in Darwin

#britishwaitress rude. I simply asked why my chicken schnitzel did not come with the sauce. Bar staff started being rude stating that I he to pay for it - fair enough. But I asked, where does it say that on the menu? She could not explain where. Apart from that.
Nice cool place, popular, and other waiters and bar staff are friendly, maybe just the odd one. Chicken was a little dry but still soft, fries were tasty, and salad was decorative. Great music, go for happy hour and enjoy the night, and just ignore the staff, don't let them ruin your dinning experience. And ask for the sauce at the start
