Really nice ambience. Love the traditional Greek touches to the decor. Prompt service. We decided to order several dishes and share the lot. My favourite was the zucchini croquettes. Yia Yia’s chips taste good! Everything was delicious. Will try different dishes next time we go. Spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Clean toilet facilities.

Wonderful Greek food. Very accommodating for our somewhat hyperactive 2 year old.
Food was excellent- enjoyed the whitebait, 4 dips, haloumi, and arancini balls for a meze style starter.
For mains we had: the seafood metaxa, which was a good quality creamy seafood medley.
The moussaka was very good and Moreish.
The last was the saganaki prawns, which I assume was excellent due to my companions clearing his plate and making all sorts of "mmm" noises.
We had several desserts, and all were excellent. I just cant remember the names!
Recommend to go and give this one a try. We will likely go back

Love the cosy yet industrial brick interior of the restaurant.
We started off with the authentic Greek Sanganaki cheese, which is a must try at any Greek restaurants together with some bread with a beetroot and Coriander dip. 10/10 for the sanganaki, but a tip is to eat as soon as it arrive, as it could get abit hard.
For our main we shared the mixed platter (amongst 4 of us, which was a good portion) which sort of included a mix of everything from octopus, calamari prepared two ways - grilled and batter fried, prawns, chicken and lamb - prepared two ways - cutlets and yiros. It also accompanied

The food were very tasty. Staff was cheerful and obliging. The mains prices were very steep for the quantity served. The rice that was served with the souvlaki skewers were either under cooked or not fresh. It was hard. However, the staff came back with another bowl to make up for the already small portion/price.

We had a lovely late lunch here. We sat outside and were able to enjoy a light breeze and some sunshine. All of our servers were quite friendly and attentive.
We ordered their 4 dips & pita starter. It was delicious and we enjoyed the variety of dips. For meals my husband ordered their mixed seafood dish and I ordered a special which was chicken stuffed with a Greek cheese and spinach over Greek mashed potatoes. The sauce over the dish made the dish special.
It was a solid meal with great staff and definitely worth a visit.

My favorite Greek restaurant. Like the lamb souvlaki which comes with rice. Huge portion. Good place to celebrate a birthday. The retsina wine is lovely. I have tried the morton bay bugs but they were not up to my expectations. The keftedes meatballs mezze was yummy. I recommend this. I hv tried a fish special such as snapper. Very good indeed. If ur there do hv the Greek coffee or iced coffee.

Came here for the first time for a meal with work friends.
I was greeted straight away and made to feel really welcome when I was the first of my group to arrive.
They have a lovely set of starters and nibbles, which I savoured as I waited for the rest of my group to arrive. The four island dips and bread was really nice with wine to start things off.
For mains we all shared a meat platter and it was all cooked really well, the lamb chops were succulent and sausages pack with flavour. It all came on a bed of tasty rice. We also had a side of "Greek chips" these were nicely seasoned

Haloumi is not a food group. I'm just putting that out there. It really isn't. Many men might think it is, and they might think they can eat their own bodyweight in it, maybe with a nice beer chaser or five, but it's not a sensible representation of all the food groups.
So maybe it'd be wise if men weren't encouraged to visit the Greek on Halifax unsupervised, because the haloumi cheese is awesome. Completely awesome. We ordered two serves and ate them both. And then there was some other kind of haloumi-like cheese so we ate two serves of that too.
Okay, there

Everything on the menu is amazing! It's like a favour explosion with every bite. I've been here too many times to count and I'm always impressed. The quality of the food is outstanding and the customer service is good but expect to pay high prices. I've never left this restaurant with a bill under $100 for 2. The Meze is a fav, I highly recommend haloumi and loukanika

This is my all time favourite restaurant and the reason I have picked it to celebrate my birthday. The food and service are spectacular and never been disappointed.
Pricing is on the high side if you are ordering meze but order a main and you are on track with majority of places, but a culinary delight.
Do yourself a favour and have the meat platter, this is cost inhibitive but well worth it if you are celebrating a special occasion.

I have always enjoyed going to the Greek, however the service our table of 3 received on Saturday night was terrible!
The food was nice but when you are paying in excess of $200+ for food and drinks, the service should match that price.
We sat alfresco and while the place was packed, the wait staff only seemed to service inside diners.
We arrived for our booking at 8pm and sat for 20 minutes before we finally managed to catch a waiters attention to order drinks, another 15 minutes passed before we actually got our drinks. Food took an hour to come out. By then the place was almost empty. The

I wanted to love this restaurant because I've always heard so many good things about it - But I have to say, I thought it was 'ok'.
There is a great menu with lots of traditional Greek dishes on offer. I'm not really a 'meat lover', but if you love lots of meat dish options then this is the perfect restaurant for you.
We started with the mixed dip platter, which was really nice. For main course I ordered the Traditional Moussaka, it was really nice and a good option that wasn't so meat focused (it had minced beef, but there is also a vegetarian version). When

Amazing Greek food and perfect service and it is my favourite Greek restaurant by far.
They give you great confidence to take your family, friends or business associates and to be 100% sure that they will have an enjoyable dining experience, like yourself, every time.
Whilst I now live in Denver, Colorado, the 4 times a year that I am in Adelaide it is the restaurant that I look forward to the most to dine in.
The OLYMPIAN Meat platter and the THALASSINA Seafood platter are just AWESOME.
Thank You again George, Fran and Mietta - exceptional as always.

Some vegan friends told me that the Greek on Halifax was extremely accommodating. What's one to do with news like this? Give it a go themselves.
FOOD
I phoned ahead to book a table and advised them that there would be two vegans. They said it wouldn't be a problem as the kitchen is quite adept at accommodating for special dietary requirements. They'd be able to throw together some dips, dolmathes and char-grilled vegetables: a veritable feast.
That's indeed what we got.
We started with melitzanosalata (roasted eggplant and garlic dip) with a julienne of carrot, cucumber
