At 7:30 each morning the garden is harvested for Fig Tree Restaurant's ever-changing menu. Our team of chefs take great care in creating innovative, cleverly designed menus, showcasing ingredients from our own vegetable gardens and orchards, and the very best in regional produce. Join us at one of our upcoming ticketed dining experiences or host your own private event.
Weddings at Fig Tree Restaurant encapsulate everything a Byron Bay wedding is all about; country charm, rolling hills, ocean views, beautiful gardens and a relaxed, yet sophisticated ambience. From a garden ceremony beneath the ancient fig tree, guests walk through the olive grove to the poolside for cocktails and canapes.
The restaurant itself is located in the original farmhouse, perched on a hill top in the secluded area of Ewingsdale, Byron Bay. Venture out past the grapevines, olive grove and orchard to behold the beauty of the venues most iconic feature - it's majestic 150-year-old fig tree, framing sweeping hinterland to ocean views all the way out to the Byron Bay Lighthouse.
Fig Tree Restaurant is home to two unique and luxurious villas; Sunrise House and The Dairy. These bespoke spaces are carefully curated to create a feeling of luxury and sophistication while also paying homage to the natural history and charm of the property. Complete with private gardens, polished interiors, and glistening views of Byron Bay, each one is its very own retreat, conveniently located only minutes from the Byron town centre.
It all started with a simple dream, to convert our original farmhouse into a restaurant. Our passionate team of individuals here at Fig Tree continually explore, create and innovate in ways that continue to honour our legacy. A commitment to community and sustainability is at the centre of the Fig Tree ethos.

We have had the pleasure of enjoying the absolutely mind blowing Fig Tree "at home" hampers. So thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail and the quality of the produce. The flavours and menu exceeded our expectations everytime (we have loved it so much we had it a few weekends in row!) Hand written notes, thoughtfully prepared containers and beautifully designed delivery hampers made us appreciate the exceptional Fig Tree restaurant all over again. Thank you Ché and team for creating an AMAZING at home degustation experience!

My sister in law awoke to the fire at the figtree, which was devastating for the owners and staff. Despite this, they all banded together and they prioritised her wedding above all else putting their devastation aside to make her day go ahead and be just as perfect as they had planned. We could not have asked for anything more from them, their… kindness, infectious happiness and efforts were over and above.
