Services
Hi, we're Michael and Amanda O'Doherty- the husband and wife team at the heart of Chiropractic Moves and Chiro Mamas. We run a family clinic in beautiful Paddington, Brisbane with a focus on treating conditions of the back and hips as well as working with mothers and babies to address the musculoskeletal issues of pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding.
We're so glad you found your way here. We know that you are frustrated that you have an injury that is keeping you from exercise and activity; it's affecting your work and your quality of sleep. We know that you want to live an active healthy lifestyle and be able to get through your work day without pain and we want to help you get there.
Neck and back pain is extremely common and Chiropractors are at the frontline of these problems daily. We get how frustrating it is to not be able to sit at your desk because of your back, or sleep through the night because of a neck ache, or get a PB on your workout because you don't trust your movements.
We're so glad you found your way here. We know you want what is best for you and your baby at all stages and we would like to help you get there. Bone aches and pelvic pain during pregnancy and trouble breastfeeding after baby arrives are super common but is not normal.
You've been experiencing weird symptoms lately; sore hips, aching back, poor sleep because your hips are burning, your groin stings every time you take a step, you feel like you have a bowling ball between your legs.Your baby is having trouble opening their mouth wide enough to have a good latch, your daughter pulls of the breast and fusses, your son can't quite get their hands in the right place to feed, your Bub had a long difficult birth.

Pregnancy is amazing but it can definitely be uncomfortable. Whilst pregnancy can be a beautiful time for mum-to-be in can also be a real pain in the back! The postural adaptation of a woman's body during pregnancy results in significant functional adaption of the pelvic structures. This can increase the load placed on the lower back and other pelvic structures including the important uterine ligaments.

I have been having Chiro with Amanda at chiropractic moves since late 2020. I was referred through my midwife for back and pelvic pain in my 2nd trimester. Amanda is amazing!
She eased my pain dramatically in my very first session and has worked on me through my many ongoing issues from 3rd trimester, postpartum and still now, working with me to ease my back pain associated with breastfeeding.
Amanda also helped me with my pelvic positioning which I believe had a huge impact on the position of my baby and my overall positive birth experience.
I highly recommend Amanda.

I first heard of Amanda through a midwife who highly recommended her for babies. I took my son as a baby and she treated him with wonderful care. My daughter who is 8 years is very active and has recently had trouble with her neck, she loves Amanda and always feels better after a treatment. Amanda really has a special touch, I'd highly recommend her!

I have been seeing Mike for treatment once a month for several years. I have scoliosis so have ongoing issues with back pain and alignment that are exacerbated by a lot of desk work. Mike has been instrumental to keeping my back pain away and making me feel good on a regular basis. Chiropractic is the only ongoing treatment that has worked long term for me. Mike is very thorough and will get to the bottom of the problem!
