The Palace could be an awesome pub - great location and a nice exterior. However the service, amenities and quality of food and interior decor are stuck in a time warp from the late 90s. In dire need of a serious capital injection and renovation and has been left behind by other pubs now.

This is the first time I’ve been to this pub. When I was there the place was packed and the service spot on, as it was friendly and attentive.
I ordered a Melbourne Bitter, which is a beer that I don’t generally order. But I was pleasantly surprised as the beer was cold and tasty.
My partner ordered a Gin and Soda which was also pretty good too. There are so many specials on here each day which was good to see.
There was a band setup ready to go, but as this was a pre dinner drink I couldn’t stay to hear the band. But I’d be happy to go back.

I've been to the upstairs private function room for a couple birthdays. And last week on the Saturday I came here for a school reunion. We had reserved three tables for the evening. We were told by the staff at one point to be seated and not stand in the way of the live music (I thought that was a bit ridiculous) but I suppose it was for the sake of the performers and other patrons. Overall, the pub itself has good food and drinks. Thank you!

The service here is appalling. The food is overcooked and tastes bland. My friend had finished her meal by the time mine had arrived so we essentially watched each other eat their meals. They put BBQ sauce on my salmon and asparagus. Salmon is a precious food source that should not be disgraced by bottle BBQ sauce. The parma my friend got looked okayish but its pretty easy to make an okayish parma so not something to rave about. My friend said it was "disgusting". Will not be returning.
