I have medicated anxiety, the man at the door checking covid compliance was very rude and mean to me and he made me cry in front of everyone. Even tho I had proof of double vax, my police certified passportID on my phone and my mygovID. Even tho I was quiet and polite and compliant, he was still very mean and almost would not let me in.
The bar staff were nice and the trivia was fun.
I would not go back if it wasn't for my friends liking trivia.

Nice rooftop and awesome views! They had a new menu, with a few vegan options which felt nice for a pub.
We enjoyed our meal but lots of smokers around where we ate so probably won't return as downstairs inside was nothing exciting.

$20 Steak Night!
Was ok, requested medium rare. Was more medium and a bit chewy. But for $20 was adequate. Service was very quick!

I will be back, I was expecting a slapped together lunch. Well was I pleasantly surprised, the menu showed quality and practical pub food, with options for everyone. While a nice bottle of wine was easily purchased, happy times.
I tasted the Vegi parma, hmmm I might order this next time. My calamari was not covered in cheap batter, but nicely prepared, soft and yummy 😋.
On top of all that, the food came to our table. Then they checked with us that all meals had arrived - how nice was that. I have been at expensive restaurant that left people sitting without their full order.
I suppose I should

Nice rooftop area with sweeping views of the city and surrounding area. Food presented well ordered the parma however it was served basically cold. Consided returning it but I am too lazy. Either they pre cooked and let them sit there or didn't microwave for long enough. Either way really disappointed.

I always enjoy coming here. It's a great place to grab a quick lunch and enjoy the ambiance of the rooftop terrace / bar.
The staff are friendly enough and there a respectable amount of beers on tap (including a porter) which is always a bonus.
My only criticism is that the lunch specials are lacking a little bit in overall flavour but you can't really complain for $12.
Still a great experience and will definitely be back.

Had a lovely stakes chips and prawns filled the spot went out to celebrate mid autumn festival

Is lovely in pool table every night is something happening. Go on roof for a lovely view of Melbourne CBD.

So if you are in Richmond on way to the footy drop in for a quick beer or 2.

Enjoy the open fire or on Tuesday try the Trivia night.

I'm not really sure why they call this place the Mountain View hotel - maybe because you can see the mountains from the roof (though considering how far they are away you don't get a really good look at them anyway). However, while you may not get an extra-ordinary mountain view from this pub, you do get an awesome view of the city, which is probably THE reason that I absolutely love this place. In fact this was probably the first pub that I visited that had a rooftop bar, and I discovered it quite by accident (and then spent about twenty minutes walking up and down Bridge Road trying

Rooftop terrace is fantastic, only thing better is the security guard who collected our empties and helped us deliver our shots always with a smile on his face

It's a nice looking pub in a great location. Last pub on bridge road heading to the MCG. Rooftop bar has a great view of the city.
On the bad side, very expensive beer and the upstairs rooftop beer is full of man bun flogs. You can walk past it at night and is virtually empty. The bar is right in the middle of the sports bar with so many different sets of steps which is annoying when carrying drinks.
The roof top bar is nice but the steps up to it are pretty dangerous, especially after a few frothies.
Instead of this pub you are better off going to the London tavern on Lennox for a beer

Ah, the Mt View, perched atop Richmond hill on Bridge Road. A classic footy pub with a classic pub menu and generous (read: HUGE) sized meals.

It's not the fanciest place around, but the rooftop bar, "A Bar Above", has an incredible view of the city, especially at sunset, so it's worth the trek upstairs.

Book a table on game days if you are planning on eating as it can get quite busy, although not as busy as other Swan St establishments down the hill.

The chicken Parma is huge, in fact, you could almost share it, but unfortunately the husband never wants to! They have special

I had a function here recently and it was an amazing night. The manager Jaymes was brilliant, attentive and always kept me informed to what was going on throughout the night. Food was tasty and drinks reasonably priced. The only downside was the bartender for the function, she was very unenthusiastic and would tell anyone who listened how hung over she was, aside from that I would not hesitate to recommend mt view to anyone looking for a function venue.

The rooftop is simply amazing, with views of all of Melbourne. There is nothing better than sitting up there on a beautiful sunny day and enjoying

So a friend and I started coming here about a year ago during winter because on Wednesday nights they had $10 'Parmageddon'. This has since risen to $12 but whatever its still cheap meat.

I probably wouldnt come back here for any other reason though. The bar/restaurant is in this interesting old building has not one but THREE sports TV's around the dining area. Its basically a fancy sports pub that appeals to that crowd. There is a mix between mature couples, blokes, knock off work drinks/dinner and uni students.

The restaurant has a split level mezzanine and interesting architectural

With 4 floors that a combine bistro, pub and rooftop beer garden, The Mount View is a short walk from the MCG and is one of the last pubs you'll come across on your way to the footy.

The rooftop bar looks out over Melbourne and has a great view, whilst inside the feel is definitely that of a standard bistro.

We had the risotto, and although it included 4 different types of mushrooms, it was watery and bland, needing generous additions of salt and pepper to add flavour.

The pizza is good value, with a thick base and caramelized onions and feta giving a different spin to your usual pub
