My apprentice and I Recently installed solar on the resort. It was the most enjoyable job I've done by far. It is a magic location right on the lake, surrounded by bush and close to pristine beaches. It was so good we took an impromptu break in the middle of the job and my family came down to enjoy the place. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with good amenities. Great for a young family like mine. Pete and Paula have fairly recently taken over and it's great to see the time effort and energy being put into rejuvenating the resort. They were absolutely fantastic hosts and I would recommend

Just what we were after - a quiet getaway. Situated right on Wonboyn lake with it's bushed surrounds and accompanying whistling birds and the occasional kangaroo, our cabin was rustic but quite comfortable. Multiple heaters which do a great job, ammenaties and tv are adequate for the locale and no complaints here.
The owner is very personable and accomodating and is continually working on the resort and always has his hands dirty improving this, literally, hidden gem. If you're into fishing you'll be in paradise as you'll have the entire jetty and lake to yourself and it's so serene.

Great getaway for family or a fishing trip. Modest accommodation that's clean, comfortable, and right on the water.
Peter and Paula are warm and gracious hosts, who always have time to help out and show you around.
This hidden gem is a step back in time, and is unspoiled by the tourist masses.
Leave the iPads at home, and connect with nature (and the family). This place is a must visit.

We have been going here for 25 years. Quiet place (we go when school has gone back). The park is well maintained & owned by wonderful people who treat you as friends rather than just a customer. There is a pool which is always sparkling clean. The lake itself is beautiful....words cannot do it justice, best seen by boat. Hire boats available. Best place to go for restful, peaceful holidays

I'll start this review with a disclaimer...my 5 stars may not be your 5 stars. BUT...if you want privacy, comfortable accommodation, access to a pool, water views and lake swimming (and by all accounts amazing fishing, I'm not a Fisher person myself) then you should try this resort out. Not only is it remarkable value, I don't think I've experienced better service anywhere I've stayed, and it truly is such wonderful isolation. A word to the wise, it IS off the beaten track. We made it to the resort in a Corolla Sport, intact but with some stressful moments. Those blessed with a 4wd will think I

Great quite place. Secluded and in the bush. Lots of wildlife. It has become rundown over the years and needs a bit of an upkeep. But with friends and family around its a great place. Fishing off the jetty or to take your boat it's a great place. Few kms of dirt road to get down to the resort so very corrugated and lots of potholes. They supply initial stuff in cabins but if you need more toilet paper you need to buy more.
