We want to help people and businesses solve their problems efficiently and economically, and in a caring manner. Solving problems through the legal system comes at a cost. Not only a financial cost, but also a physical and emotional cost. David is an accredited Family Law and Business Law specialist, as well as an accredited Mediator and Arbitrator and a Notary Public.
But we undertake work in almost all areas of law. Take a look at our list of services to see if we can help you.

Services
David Gibbs & Associates have been practising law and helping people within the Hastings community and the broader Mornington Peninsula for over 30 years. David opened the doors to DG&A in Victoria Street, Hastings just after Easter 1980. As a young articled clerk David had been working in Frankston when he lost his job due to a practice downsizing.
We undertake work in almost every facet of the law. While it would be easier for us to list those legal areas we cannot assist you with, we can help you with the following:. David is an accredited Mediator and Arbitrator and is able to mediate or arbitrate any type of dispute. In 2002 he was appointed a Family Law Regulation 67B Arbitrator so can be appointed by the Family Court or parties to arbitrate a Family Law dispute.
Finishing university with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, David founded David Gibbs & Associates at the young age of 26. Though hiring experienced staff is always important, David has also enjoyed fostering young talent as well, often giving people their first job and the chance to grow and learn while working in the business.
When you're a part of a community you contribute to that community. It's only natural. At David Gibbs & Associates we have a long and proud history of supporting and working with our local community. We are currently honorary lawyers for the Hastings Bowls Club, the Hastings Club, the Red Hill Agricultural Show Society, and the Flinders Art Show.
