Dr Ben grew up in an Army family, moving up and down the East Coast before settling in Canberra for school, and moving to the Gold Coast for University. He graduated in 2011, then worked for the RAAF (Amberley, Townsville and East Sale), and loved the lifestyle up here so after working in private clinics in Victoria he moved back to Queensland.
Her dental journey began over 16 years ago when she decided to first study dental hygiene. After completing both a diploma and degree in dental hygiene she worked as a dental hygienist in Canada and Switzerland. Originally from Sydney, Dr Agatha managed to convince her husband to move back to Australia where she completed her degree in dentistry at Griffith University.
At Tranquility Dentistry we believe establishing a good relationship with your Dentist is paramount to reducing anxiety and maintaining dental health, and creating this trust as young as possible is the best way to achieve this.

Kids are notoriously clumsy, but add in a sporting environment and you're in for trouble! Flying elbows, hockey sticks, even the ground can do severe damage to your child's front teeth, so it is important to protect them wherever you can. The most common injury to teeth are to the most important teeth for your smile - the two central upper teeth - so we recommend having a custom-fitted mouthguard made for any contact sports.
At around 6 years old, your child's first adult molars will start to appear. Unfortunately, these are quite far back, and they have a lot of deep grooves (called Fissures) that can trap food and bacteria. As young children have trouble brushing effectively around their back teeth, and often brush much too quickly, these teeth can start to decay from a very early age.

Dr Ben was absolutely brilliant with my daughter today. He made her feel comfortable, secure and happy while checking out her teeth and also somehow, managed to convince her to let him pull out one of her very wobbly ones! Which resulted in a very excited kid awaiting a tooth fairy visit tonight. Will definitely be back to see him again in the future. Thanks again! ☺️☺️

I can’t say enough about this little gem of a Dentist. My youngest was terrified of going to the Dentist. And then we met the staff at Tranquility 😊 they made my little 5year old feel so safe and cared for. Dr Ben was just incredible with her, so caring and understanding so patient with her ... Now she can’t wait to go back to the dentist !! Thank you so much for caring as much as you do 😊

All 3 of my daughters have now had treatment with Dr. Ben and I would highly recommend him, especially if your children are nervous about the dentist. Dr. Ben and his staff are kind, funny and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at ease. My 4 year old was even tickling his chin during her treatment! It also helps that there is a TV so the kids can be distracted by their favourite Netflix show. Very happy and we are definitely now lifetime customers 👍

It had been suggested by a previous dentist that we have our sons tooth extracted under general anaesthetic due to him being a very nervous patient. (He was even terrified of the chair moving!!) Dr Ben was amazing and managed to remove the tooth in the chair. He really made my son feel calm, added a bit of fun to the experience and his overall manner was so reassuring. Definitely recommend to anyone with children feeling anxious about the dentist!

Our daughter had to have 3 of her baby teeth removed and she was very nervous. Dr Ben Cosson and his team were fantastic with making sure she was comfortable and supported the whole time. She was so relaxed she was even having a giggle during the procedure, felt no pain at all and was very happy afterwards. What a fantastic service. Today I was able to take my 2 childen for a check up and my daughter who is 13 is always petrified of the Dentist amd won't ever let anyone check her teeth until today Dr Ben was amazing and worked with her making her feel so comfortable. Ben and his team at tranquility dentistry have been absolutly amazing with my 2 children. My older son has special needs and Ben made him feel so comfortable and talked with him about every thing he was going to do which made my son feel happy and comfortable with Ben. My younger son felt so comfortable with Ben that now both my boys look forward to our next visit to the dentist. We can't thank tranquility dentist enough for their wonderful service and inviting environment.
