I booked as soon as we heard potential lockdown was ending. Received a text 10 days later that they could not take the booking because a stylist wasn’t vaccinated. It’s been pretty clear all along that this… would be the case. I’ve forgiven them for 4 years of waiting up to an hour after my appointment to get a start on my hair. The owner clearly doesn’t care about his customers.

I had coa tanuma as my hairstylist and she did a digital perm and cut for me. She did an amazing job and listened to everything I wanted and also gave me great advice on hairstyling!! The digital perm is so cute and exactly how I wanted it to turn out! I’m so happy I got it done here and I’ll definitely be back again :) thanks again coa!! 💕

Got my hair cut and colored last week. I was introduced by my best friend she got her hair straightening in here few weeks ago and she really like it. Highly recommend Coa, she is very nice and professional, really listen what I actually want. I am so please with the hair color and style she made for me. Looks fashion! Thanks Coa :) Relax atmosphere Great service and friendly staff. Definitely Recommend.

Update: it’s now 2.5 weeks after and I think it looks good now.
Previous review: I got a haircut recently and I waited one week to see the result, and now I can say that it’s not worth the hype.
Tomoka is friendly and listens to my need, but the result doesn’t really worth the price charged.
My experience is I had a fancy blow dry with some twists by hand that I can’t reproduce and then the haircut. The cut looks gorgeous on the spot, but the second day it looks nothing like the fluffy cut I got.

Shinroku was my stylist, he was so nice and not at all condescending when I asked questions (I have no clue about hair). Only took 1 look from the pictures I showed him and styled it to my liking. Very nice ambiance as well. Would recommend! <3 . The service was on time (if not early) as well (granted I came there early, they accomodated me as soon as a slot opened). Very nice staff as well.

Hisa Goto is very talented! I thoroughly enjoyed having my hair cut and coloured yesterday. Not just a haircut. We discussed what I wanted, and also then opened the discussion to talk about our lives. I love my new hair!

Not really welcomed atmosphere.The stylist who cut my hair was well-skilled except styling my hair. He curled my hair at the end, and he made a strong curl on ONLY one part. It looked so strange and I felt embarrassed being public with such poorly styled hair as if I was telling the world I couldn’t curl back of my hair myself. I couldn’t help thinking whether it was on purpose since he must have known it looked strange if he was a true professional stylist.

Just left Blu Creativity and I could not be happier. Gorgeous happy polite gentle clean and my hair so so good. Kota the Master Stylist 💓. I had my hair permanently straightened and will not go anywhere else now 💓 the best bit you can book online 💓

I would honestly not go anywhere else to get my hair done! Kota has been colouring, cutting/styling and Japanese Straightening my hair for the last 2 years and I've never had a bad experience. He always pays great attention to detail and really takes care of you. The staff there are super friendly and professional as well. I highly recommend Blu creativity !!

The best hair stylist in Sydney. Couldn’t move to another salon in the past 8years

I originally wanted to go from dark hair to blonde with balyage highlights. I explained this to the hairdresser and he told me "50% I can do that". The end result was much darker than I had expected with a… patch of blonde at the back of my head, which seemed out of place. When I expressed my concern to him, he explained to me that it was because my hair had been tinted brown before so he can't touch it. He then very reluctantly took out a curler, mumbling under his breath "I don't want to do this but if you really want me to show you how bright your hair can be" I ended up disappointed

I'm normally based in the US (Boston/nyc) to be exact...and I was in Sydney visiting family. I thought it be a great time to check out this Japanese salon as it was so highly rated on some list and gee how stupid I was.

This salon, or at least my experience, was pathetically miserable. It was a 23 min haircut, and for a salon of this caliber I would expect more time taken, as I basically got my head shaved and poorly done if that was the main purpose. Bad experience. I have been here once and I am very happy with the service the first time so I brought my husband here for a haircut. I made a booking for 11am. We arrived about 10 mins early so we were happy… to wait a bit. However, 30 minutes passed 11am and we were still waiting with no one coming to tell us what was going on. So I walked to the counter to ask how long they would like us to wait. She said she will go and check. But instead of doing so, she picked up a phone and made us wait. It's been an amazing experience. If you are unsure what style you want, come here and they can make a good recommandation. I have been here for years and Hisa, the Director has always known what's the best for my hair. I don't need to worry. They offer one free drink while you're there.

Kota is my hairstylist and I highly recommend him. He is meticulous, detailed, polite, and confident. I am glad to say that I have finally found a hairstylist in Sydney that I like and can trust.

I got my hair done twice here and it was amazing both times! I have very thick black Asian hair and it's hard to find a salon that understands how to work with my hair. After a botched dye job, Chika was able to save my hair and the cut and dye were fantastic. The stylists are very honest if they do not think they can achieve something. I went back a second time to get my hair dyed pink and it was fantastic. I've always wanted magenta hair and Mao achieved just that. It's an expensive place but I've never left a salon excited about my hair twice.

Went there last year for the first time to do a colour hair treatment ...and I will never go back there again... the haircut is average ...I wasn't happy with the expensive price tag and service that I received ..... I told the hair stylist, Chika I want to dye my hair into darker brown colour, which he said he understands...but instead of hair dye, I got a hair highlights instead ... A very well-hidden Japanese hair salon located on the first floor. There isn't much street signage on the outside but once you find your way in, you will appreciate the oasis. Staff are friendly and you will receive 10% discount on your first visit.

I had my hair done in Blu Creativity a few weeks ago with a Group On voucher, which was for a cut and full head of highlights (blonde). I haven't written a review about a salon before but I couldn't believe the service I received here.

Normally, I would have my colour done and then hair cut, but my hair was cut first - and it was a dry cut. He just sat me down and didn't wet my hair, didn't put any layers in it when I asked him too, It took him maybe 15 seconds to do. He wouldn't cut my fringe for me either.
