Rakis is honestly the best salon I’ve ever been to, I’ve dyed my hair blonde, ombré and balyage for many years with many different salons and rakis is just top level quality. Aron is an amazing stylist and I… couldn’t have ever imagined my hair would be THIS GOOD after just one session even with my Asian black hair it is so hard to find a salon who could make the first session colour look this amazing. Rakis is my forever go-to salon now period!

Friday was my first visit to this salon and they did an amazing job with both the cut and colour. I had not been to a hairdresser since March because of lockdown and had attempted to cut my own hair in between,… so I was half expecting some eye-rolls about the job I did on it, but they were not judgemental about it at all. I have very thick hair so the foils took longer than a standard appointment and probably threw out their day, but again, no complaints and nothing was rushed. The result is beautiful (pic was taken after one wash at home and styled by me) and I will definitely be going

I don’t recommend anyone going through them when it comes to hair extensions. I ended up getting grey hairs in mine! Brand new as well and definitely not cheap. They have done nothing to resolve this problem because they have their money now so it’s not their issue it’s mine now. I have been constantly trying to get in contact with them and nothing back.
I wasn’t the first to have an issue with the hair extensions, I remember another staff member telling me so, so why the hell do they continue to go through show pony? Given the poor Quality and lack of professionalism? Look elsewhere.

Lovely salon that always feels comfortable, and Aron is a delight. Huge range of Shu Uemura products, never feel like I'm being upsold, but when I have bought products they've been excellent suggestions I've gone back to buy more of.
Only suggestion would be some baffling to absorb a bit of sound, can be a little loud (but I might be a bit sensitive!).

First photo was how I left my precious appointment with blonde ashy locks! Second is how I left my last appointment! Went back and Terri tried to fix it but ended up being such a dark dirty toned blonde to half… hide all the orange/yellow tones. $690 later and to hate your hair is not acceptable. I was told I could get $100 off my next service. Why would you want to go back? First few times in the salon it was busy and felt luxury to the last no reception half there staff have left and a hectic vibe! I got my hair cut and styling done by Rolf. I can’t recommend him enough. Excellent communication skills and a hair wizard of sorts. I’m quite finicky about my hair and I pay attention to detail.😄 Thank you, Rolf, for listening to my concerns about my recent post surgery hair loss and giving me the perfect haircut. Pretty much the best stylist I had in Melbourne. Keep doing what you do.👍🏽 Will be returning to Rakis.😌

For any blokes out there wanting a great cut, perhaps for longer styles that your traditional barber wouldn’t necessarily do, Rolf at Rakis has got you covered.

Thank you Rolf for saving my hair last week! I got a terrible cut and a very drying set of highlights from a different salon a month ago. I came to Rakis to see if my hair could be salvaged. Luckily I booked with Rolf: He transformed a dry, shapeless mess into a beautiful and flattering style. He was also very friendly, informative, and easy to talk to. The rest of the staff was lovely and helpful as well. I don't think I'll go anywhere else after this experience!

I come in with a colour/extension problem from another salon and I was beyond upset. Terri went to so much effort to help get me back to blonde and provide perfectly matching extensions as well as healthy feeling hair with all the products she recommended. You honestly are a hair god! You have no idea how much I appreciate all that you did for my hair! Friendly professional and just pure talent. Fantastic salon and Amazing staff. What a great atmosphere.

Cannot recommend this salon enough. After constant dissappointment with other salons I decided not to cut my hair for a year and half just to avoid the pain. After a friend told me about that salon I decided to pay a visit. Amazing service, amazing atmosphere, amazing haircut. Cannot recommend Stavros enough. I went to Rakis Hairdresser yesterday for a haircut. I was really impressed with their meticulousness, ensuring patrons and staff are safe through social distancing, cleaning down surfaces after use and… everyone in masks. I respect and appreciate their attention to detail in these difficult times particularly as I am part of the heath care sector. Like many people at the moment, I was tired from a difficult and taxing day. Danny and his team made me feel comfortable and their touches of light-hearted humor a welcome relief. Thanks to Danny and his team I left with a great new hair style

I had a bad experience with this salon. I was booked for 1pm appointment, then they said that it will be available 30 mins later, so i said i can wait. Then moments later, they said i just need to come back 1… 1/2 hour later because they have overrun services and could not cater me. Coming from Mornington just to make for this hair appointment and they have to let me wait was an unpleasant feeling. I tried to calm down and they even get my number for them to call me just in case they have a slot earlier.

I am extremely dissatisfied with not only my hair but the service I received also. I went to Rakis and had a long consultation with the staff about exactly what I was wanting to achieve and had pictures to show them and was assured that it could be done. I'd just had my hair already ruined by others so was already stressed about my hair which they knew about and bagged out the work I had done before and were adamant that they would get me to what I wanted and that it would be easy. I was so excited to go in for my Thursday night appointment to get my hair back to what it looked like! Well

I'm incredibly happy with the balayage and cut I received from Roland yesterday. It looks natural and the colour is stunning. I've already had so many compliments! It is difficult to find a hairdresser that knows how to do a natural looking balayage, and Roland is truly an expert at this technique. He is by far the best hairdresser I've ever had (a real perfectionist). I trust him so much that I let him take the lead with my hair and make suggestions every time I visit. I have been completely disappointed in my experience with Rakis. I have gone in for multiple appointments with Pasquale in order to gradually achieve a natural looking blonde, even though I had my doubts about the warmth in my hair after each appointment I trusted that the end result would be worth it. I was wrong and have wasted over a thousand dollars to be left with over processed and brassy hair, which I now need to have corrected else where. I would strongly advise against booking with Rakis as my experience has been a waste of time and money as well as leaving me with damaged, brassy hair

I have been going to this salon for 5 years now and always look forward to my next visit. The team are always so welcoming and treat you as family. My stylist is always up to date on what is going on with me and knows exactly what looks good on me.
Working in hotels I always recommend people to go here if they want perfection each and every time. Do yourself a favour and check them out. You want go back to your old stylists that's for sure
