Peter completed an undergraduate degree program with Honors at The University of Queensland. Prior to graduation he joined the Royal Australian Air Force as a Dental Officer, serving 10 years in various bases around Australia. He later returned to The University of Queensland to undertake a further Masters level degree program in the field of Periodontology (study of gum disease).
You will see the same dentist of your choice at every visit, not a different dentist every time. We don't send any laboratory work overseas. Instead we support local laboratories that use first class materials and expert workmanship. We promote preventive dentistry that will minimise the need for future interventions thus saving you time and money in the long term.
Located one street behind The Esplanade, the elevator entry is on Grice Avenue, to the left of QML. Our stunning, brand new practice at beautiful Paradise Point complies with all the very latest requirements and standards and has been designed to have full disabled access to all areas via a convenient lift.

I made an appointment with Dr Peter. When I got there there was another doctor treated me. And he said Dr Peter rarely take any patients now. Why you wouldn’t tell me when I made the booking? After talking the X-ray, can’t do anything about my problem, still charged me $56 after my medibank private insurance. I asked them to send me the X-ray picture. Nothing happened. After I made two phone calls asking for the picture, still nothing happened. Really bad management and organization. Won’t go back.

Dr Peter Barry is my wife's dentist and she has incredibly high standards and is generally terrified of dentists due to a very bad experience. She trusts Dr Barry implicitly and now I do too. The practice is soothing from the moment you enter the beautifully decorated waiting area. The staff are wonderful and Dr Barry himself is a superb dentist - calm, patient, not at all rushed. It would be fair to say the examination, cleaning, scaling and xrays were, to use my wife's favourite expression, like having butterflies dance in one's mouth. Moved to the Gold Coast 5 years ago and started seeing Dr Peter Barry at his Aqua Dental Practice. I have pretty terrible teeth thanks to a lack of care when younger and there is no judgement, just care and kindness. Dr Barry works with you to get the results you want and I can't recommend him highly enough. As a dental phobic, if I can be cared for here, anyone can.

Great practice, exceptional service. Dr Wong has been my dentist for many years and I travel all the way from Mermaid Beach to Paradise Point every time I need to see him. All staff are caring and very professional. I have had quite a few complex issues with my teeth and they were amazing at being able to fit me in, diagnosing and managing these! Definitely recommend them!

Highly recommend Aqua Dental all the staff very friendly and helpful especially Dr Peter Barry. I had a really bad infected toothmy left side face went double , I was in pain too, before I went to Aqua Dental I went to an other one dentist in shoutport they said probably they can’t save my tooth, and I have to come back in 1week later, so I speak to my friend and she was recommended Aqua Dental I went to see Dr Peter Barry he in amazing I was so scared, he was so patient and gentle ,he did the root canal, I couldn’t feel a thing I could believe it he save my tooth which is amazing didn’t

A delight to visit their dental surgery and may I add I do not like going to dentists at all, but Dr Peter Barry makes it a pleasant experience. The office is beautifully decorated and shows wonderful HD videos of nature films (no audio) in the waiting room. One can tell he has pride in his practice.
Dr Barry is gentle and competent. A quietly spoken man. He has treated my elderly mother for many years and mum adores him. Afonso, the receptionist is also a delight.
