David Boyd has a business background spanning 15 years across a number of multi-national corporations. David has held a number roles ranging from Corporate & Regulatory Affairs, Communications & Marketing and Commercial roles based in UK, Europe and Australia. Upon Returning to Australia David was employed by Henkel the German Adhesive & Personal Care Conglomerate.
We're a little bit different to usual hairdressing salons. But there's no need to worry, our salons are designed to deliver the best possible experience for you, here's everything you need to know. No booking necessary. We're a walk-in salon so that means that we do not accept appointments or bookings, just walk-in whenever suits you! (Within trading hours, of course).

I’ve been coming to SEC for years. I’m someone who has a busy schedule and doesn’t have time to plan so the walk in service is great and works for me. I’m also someone who isn’t phased about my hair so if there is an accident it’s no biggy for me.
I find SEC the best SE I have used. The ladies always take care and help me achieve a good outcome when I come in with mixed coloured head and neglected hair.

I have been hesitating to colour my transitioning into the grey appearing
I had a very good explanation and guidance from Shadae - She took her time and did an amazing job - so happy with my hair - a bit pricey though
I was then transferred to Celeste chair and she had to blow dry my hair
she has done my hair before and Every time I have been pleased and happy with her results
So overall good professional effort from both Shadae and Celeste

I went in to get a colour done. I was not too happy with the result so Kristy Shadae and the team ensured that I left feeling extremely happy with the second outcome. Kristy totally understood my concern and was absolutely lovely. Will definitely be going back again soon. Thank you for being so understanding and willing to fix the colour for me.

I had a great experience at Salon Express Cockburn. Went in for a colour, cut and blow dry, leaving with results far better than I imagined. I am so happy with my treatment. Shadae was my stylist, who I fully recommend if you are able to request. She provided excellent professional service, and was lovely to chat to. I will be back for my touch ups

Went there just for a cut, the hairdresser I had was nice and didn't take long to get the job done. However, after coming home I realised that she had cut my hair uneven. Pieces from the back were shorter than pieces at the front :/ Luckily I was able to fix it myself. Not going back there again though as she clearly didn't check if she had cut all pieces evenly and paying $40 for that is a waste

How do you walk in to a hair salon with naturally dark blonde hair with ash blonde highlights looking for a refresh and walk out with auburn hair colour with highlights. It took me 18 months to grow out all my old colour, I had been back twice for light blonde highlights and all had gone well. Today on this particular day I think they pulled up old records as the colour I ended up with was the colour I used to have two years ago. I have no idea, however their handling of the matter was not very professional. I was on the verge of tears as she forced me to pay for a colour I did not ask for or want

I went to the salon with better hair than when I left.
I have quite soft, silky hair naturally, so you can imagine I was quite surprised to find that after a treatment, blowdry, straighten and cut, my hair went from silky smooth to dead dry with multiple flyaways appearing on the top on my head.
I'm not used to paying people lots of money to completely destroy my hair. I honestly wish I never went.

Have been here 5 or 6 times now to get my son's hair cut, normally every few months. Have never paid more than $20 in the past but today I was charged $25 because apparently he had a lot of hair to cut (wasn't anymore than previous times). She didn't even take that much off. Pretty disappointing for a regular customer, after my experience today I won't be returning and will be going elsewhere for that price. Won't be recommending either.

I would avoid this "salon" at all cost!
Asked for my blunt cut to be soften something I assumed any stylist could do! Boy was I wrong, what I am left with is a hack job! When I complained to head office about the Wanneroo store, The manager Tanya Dobbie from Wanneroo salon express emailed me back with a slandering email stating I wanted this haircut and went against advice from the 20 second consult prior to the hacking, which is furthest from the truth. Apparently I was rude which I think I had a right to be angry and to add salt to injury wanted
