This was back in November 2020 (Late review )
I chose this particular place as it is at a lovely location which has a beautiful view. My booking was done online and the hotel management was very cooperative and helped me book my family suite accordingly . I had booked a Family suite for myself and the view from the suite was MIND BLOWING . The suite was beautifully designed for a comfortable stay . A loaded kitchen with every thing possible to cook your own meal . The balconies attached to the suite are amazing and very safe to be in . I did order couple of times from the Thai Resto and it was

Stayed here 6th September 2021 & we will not be returning.
We have over the years stayed here whilst visiting my mother-in-law. The staff, Thai food, overnight stay & breakfast used to be lovely, however, the last couple of years the service has got worse. Our last visit in September was disappointing, we had booked a meal & had to remind staff after half an hour we hadn't received our drinks. We then had another long wait until our meals came.
Walking into the room there was a strong smell of foist, the bathroom was dirty & the bed was so lumpy & hard. Next morning I was going to put on the

Really nice rooms, nice view from the balcony and could even see Penshaw Monument.. I did put a 100x zoom on so not that close..
They have a quaint bar and really nice Thai style restraunt which I would go back just for that.
Breakfast was nice in the morning too with both hot and cold options.

We stayed in the family room and were really impressed with the layout and features. Having kitchen facilities made a world of difference for our children. We ate in the star of Siam as well which was lovely, would definitely go back again. Only small negatives are the slightly slower than average service, both on reception and in the restaurant. This may just be down to lack of staff. Would also recommend opening for breakfast until 10:00/11:00 as 9 was far too early for us so we ate breakfast elsewhere. Will 100% be back again and fully recommend!

Very disappointed with this place. Extremely noisy with revellers downstairs right outside the window, shouting arguing and pacing around in the car park, they come from the bar and so called Thai restaurant!
I had a deluxe room but I hate to see what the standard rooms were like! The light socket was at pillow level on the headboard, dangerous! The TV was small, sticky marks on the bedside table and the vanity table was marked and damaged and covered up by the kettle!
Two coffee sachets, two milk and one sugar for an entire overnight stay, I had to ask for more stock.. Shocking! (See all photos

I probably had a different experience to most at this hotel as I had noise issues. Staff tried, but couldn't find where the strange and annoying sound was coming from. This caused me to have a poor night's sleep. Staff were courteous and helpful and my evening meal in their Tai restaurant was very nice indeed. I stayed in a refurbished balcony room (no 6) which looked out over open countryside and it was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. If you are a very light sleeper I would think the busy road at the front of the hotel, might cause a problem (there is a road both at the front and rear

Fairly quiet on arrival. Warm greeting at reception. Straight forward check-in. Nice, clean, modern room. Restaurant menu looked good although didn't dine. Bar with good range of drinks and friendly barman!
