Vicpsychplus was established in 2005 by Dr Karen Owen and her colleagues Ms Bea Raymond and Ms Julie Jellett with the aim of providing quality assessment and treatment services in Forensic matters. Vicpsychplus' other services include Clinical Psychology and Sexual Health Counselling. We also provide training on many topics and consultancy to government, non-government and the private sector.
Karen is a Registered Psychologist and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Colleges of Forensic and Clinical Psychologists. Karen is a Clinical Member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), the Australian and New Zealand branch (ANZATSA) and a member of the International Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders (IATSO).

We are a team of Psychologists and Counsellors with experience and training in the areas of Forensic, Clinical and Organisational Psychology, Sexual Health and Relationships, Family Therapy, Group Work, Supervision and Training. Our practice was established in 2005 by Forensic and Clinical Psychologist, Dr Karen Owen.
Clinical Psychology & Counselling involves problem-solving skills and a specialised understanding of the ways in which people think, feel and behave in order to address the complex difficulties that individuals, couples and families often face. Our practice provides psychological services under Medicare.
Following separation or divorce many families seek assistance of the Courts in settling child access and custody issues. You may have been directed by the Court (Federal Circuit Court) to attend for assessment or advised by your legal counsel to obtain a Family Assessment Report.
Our role is to conduct an assessment and provide a written report to the Courts about your family, and advise the Courts about recommendations for access and or custody and to provide the Court with information about the services provided to families by government, community and other agencies.The Court requires the family consultant to observe you with your child/ren, particularly if they are too young to be interviewed.
