We found the vet we saw here (Jack) to be everything you’d want in a vet: thorough, kind, calming and clear. After a thorough examination of my five year old dachshund, he explained everything patiently, and he was reassuring about both best and worst possible scenarios. Will definitely bring her back here if she has further issues our local vet can’t help with. Appointment was $300, and I’m not sure yet if my insurer will cover part of this, but honestly, I’ve had equally expensive specialist appointments for myself that were far less helpful.

Perfect experience from start to finish. I’m so grateful for Dr James who was my main contact and the rest of the team for getting us through a difficult situation.
8 weeks ago, our Haku was admitted due to him being hit by a car and breaking both of his left legs. At the time the hospital did not allow any visitors inside the clinic due to restrictions but during the 10 days, we received many regular updates and videos so that we knew exactly what was going on which made things much easier.
Yes it’s expensive but the doctors are amazing, recovery was great and our insurance company was really

Our Golden Cocker Spaniel Whisky had some issues walking and over the course of a couple of days became paralysed in his back legs.
We had originally taken Whisky to an emergency hospital in North Ryde and were completely underwhelmed by this experience. Unfortunately, this emergency vet were more interested in giving you a quote for services the moment you walked in the door and providing poor (none) follow up support after leaving the Practice than looking after the animal.
We were then referred to Sydney Veterinary Emergency & Specialists from a friend who's dog also had IVDD 6 months before

Incredible! Dr James Crowley was very invested in getting my injured dog back home with me to rehabilitate as long as he was well enough to do so. As I was very emotional, he was very kind but also very direct with Dexter’s condition. Thank you for making such an incredibly difficult time easier for me. I would also like to thank Jess at reception who was very calming and helpful. There was also another gentleman at reception but I can’t recall his name. He was also both calming and helpful.
I highly recommend the services of Sydney Veterinary Emergency and Specialists for any emergency or

Our little dog experienced a heart issue, we came in as an emergency, we’re seen very quickly and our dog was treated so well. The staff are all empathetic and kind, take time to explain everything carefully, and make themselves available 24 x 7. If they did normal vet care I would move our dogs here without a doubt.

Recently, my cat Noodle required some serious dental surgery. It was a nervous time as she is 11 years old and I was concerned about a lengthy operation under anesthetic. Dr Christine Hawke was the specialist recommended to me by my local vet. During the consultation she was empathetic, professional, caring and understanding. She was generous in sharing her experience and the specifics with the surgery. She gave me the time frame and explained all of the potential outcomes. She even shared personal stories of her own cat going through the same procedure! Noodle spent the night at the hospital and

Our cat was sick on a Sunday night and this vet was one of the few open. The staff were quick to greet us, and their covid protocol was well thought out. The vet (Dr Angela Sun) called us within 10-15 minutes after we’d dropped off our cat and she spent more than 20 minutes on the phone with us going over her assessment and plan. It was above and beyond! We know that our cat was well taken care of. Thank you!

Dr Cherry, Dr Erin and Dr Nicole all attended my cat that suddenly became severely ill. They made sure to update me through out the day and night, and guided me through decisions on a step by step basis.
Everybody at Sydney Vets were so attentive and friendly and made sure to make both my cat and myself feel welcomed. They currently have strict covid measurements, but were kind enough to let me visit my cat given his condition.
Unfortunately, my cat passed away at the hospital, but everyone at Sydney Vets did everything they did to keep him alive and comfortable, so for that, I wanted to say

Sydney Vet & Emergency Specialists took wonderful care of our cavoodle Henry throughout his stay. We were kept very well informed about his progress as his treatment progressed. We had a caring experience with everyone that we spoke to, whether that was with reception, vet nurses, or specialist vets, and whether it was at 3pm or 3am, we really appreciated being able to get regular updates on how our pup was doing. We are incredibly grateful for the care and attention that Henry received during his stay. Thank you once again.

The staff here were all very supportive and caring and provided all the care possible for our very sick dog. They provided regular updates and gave us an extra 5 days of having her at home before she went to sleep. They were very caring and she seemed to really like all the nurses so they must have been really kind to her behind closed doors. She even let them inspect her mouth without a growl which was not her usual response!!! A false initial diagnosis, and maybe an earlier ultrasound would have helped but they did what they could considering the circumstances and her fate unfortunately was inevitable
