We know a thing or two about celebrating, we've been doing it for years after all, and our location in the heart of Wagga's CBD makes us the perfect event venue choice. Our range of spaces inside and out can accommodate up to 120 for a sit-down dinner and up to 200 cocktail-style, as well as smaller options for cosier parties and celebrations.
We walked in and the first thing that struck us was that it was big, open and airy. Lovely atmosphere, the staff at the bar were very helpful, orders quickly taken and delivered to our table with a 'view' beautifully presented. My rissoto was just superb. Wow, what a hidden gem! Great food and staff.

Pictured: Azzalin Orlando Romano, former owner [and namesake] of Romano's Hotel in Wagga Wagga. Photo via Lost Wagga Wagga on Facebook. Located a stone's throw from the Murrumbidgee River and in the heart of Wagga's business district, we're an icon in the city and wider Riverina region. Romano's has been a part of Wagga's history since 1857.
We've developed a reputation around Wagga for great food, and our menu certainly won't disappoint. With government restrictions on the number of patrons allowed in our venue, our current menu is a scaled-down version featuring a curated selection of pub classics and much-loved favourites from past menus.
When you visit our place, you'll feel welcomed by our friendly staff. Grab a drink at the bar and take a seat wherever you like - indoors or out, we know you'll find a spot to settle in. Oh, and don't forget to bring your appetite, our menu will get your mouth watering. Light, bright and not at all what you'd expect to find in a country pub, our main bar is the centrepiece of the hotel and a welcoming sight when you pay us a visit.
A separate space within Romano's Hotel, The Hampden's bar is fully stocked with craft beers, wines, spirits and liqueurs and it's here you'll find Wagga's favourite cocktails. Join friends for a night out or just casual after-work drinks while you graze on share plates and pizzas, soaking in the atmosphere.
Let the live music and good times roll on. Our music line-up includes your favourite local talent and budding artists, as well as a handful of former locals who can't resist a hometown gig and a sprinkling of out-of-towners we know you'll love.
Each month you can join in Romano's PUBlic Choir [yes, it's back in 2021!] where our mates Kylie Daly and Geoff Simpson will get you singing along to classics with a bunch of strangers you've never met [don't worry, it's all about having a good time - we won't make you sing solo].Plus, pay us a visit any day of the week and you'll find great value specials on food and drinks.

This hotel is in the heart of Wagga and the restaurant serves meals that are delicious and reasonably priced. There is an outdoor but undercover area for families with young children. There is also a small play area for the very young. Take yourself and your family and enjoy a good pub meal. I highly recommend this place.

The most disappointing meal I've ever had in my life.
They didn't have a single vegetarian meal on the menu, and only had a risotto that could be made vegan as an option.
No worries, I ordered that.
Jesus bloody christ it was a flavourless sop. A watery mess of tomato and loose rice. The worst risotto I've ever tasted in my life. The worst dish in all honesty.
It takes 2 minutes to google a good vegetarian recipe, I recommend whoever is in charge of the kitchen does so.
I'm off to go buy a sandwich from somewhere else.

This place could be so good - it is a great venue with a good atmosphere. Both outside areas are great for Wagga’s summer nights. However the menu of basically schnitzel done however many ways is terrible. There is not one appealing thing on this menu and I feel it is a lost opportunity to make a great venue THE place to go. I won’t be recommending it until the food improves
