Pretty terrible stay overall.
It was so badly mosquito infested we were not able to sleep even though we hunted mosquitoes in the tens before sleep.
Blood stains all over the room so previous guests obviously had the same problems. And it’s obviously known by the establishment as there is a fly spray in the room, almost to say ‘lol, good luck’
When we finally fell asleep other guests talking outside at 1 am woke us up because walls and doors are paper thin.
Also the constant road noise…
Bed was quite uncomfortable as it was 2 hard metal frame beds pushed together so the middle where

All was o.k til I untucked a third of the doona which was tucked in under the foot of the mattress, The doona had a huge stain on it, which covered that whole tucked in area and because it was late at night I had to sleep under it. This would have been noticed when they changed the doona cover. There were stains on the sheets as well. The tiny fridge started to freeze my food then drip water over it as it thawed out again. I cancelled the extra night stay.

Very disappointed with our stay. Photos on the website are very deceiving. It is stated on their website that all rooms have been fully renovated and refurbished but when we arrived we were told that our room is nowhere near finished. This room should NEVER have been booked out. This weekend getaway was to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we chose Norwood as it was close to where our Anniversary Dinner was to be but when we walked into our room we were nowhere near happy. Our room was a King Room with double spa. Cost of room was $185.00 per night which is not a cheap rate.
Bed was very hard

We have stayed at norwood house twice now. Both times were very enjoyable. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we checked in. All of the staff are just SO lovely, and whilst the rooms are not large - they are clean, cosy, well fitted-out, and self-contained with all amenities. We are returning to the peninsula again in april, and we look forward to our next stay at this gem of a place.

Nothing like images online if I could give it minus 1 star I would terrible decor why is the bathroom in the bedroom and why is there no door on the toilet in the bedroom? the couch was too low to sit on and when I tried it I sunk into it and couldnt get up as it was a pull out bed with boards under the cushions? We had already paid for two nights and only stayed for one and wasnt even asked at checkout why we were checking out a day early? The downstairs unit/room was noisy all night until about 3:00am and we could hear traffic on the 6 lane highway in front of the hotel all night, definetly not
