Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn offers a small conference facility in Lachlan's Room which is approximately 36 sq metres (6.3m x 5.8m), fully air-conditioned, heated and offers a good working environment with excellent natural light. Clean rooms, easy process to check in & out. We booked a family apartment however unfortunately not family friendly. The front door had no lock to lock from the inside meaning our 3yo could escape easily onto the road. We mentioned this to the staff but unfortunately they weren’t able to help. We had to barricade the door. The second bedroom where myself and my 5mo were sleeping there was a light up sign right outside the window so the room was basically daylight until 10:30pm even with the blinds closed.

For $300 for one night in a "family room " which was a very basic motel room we were very disappointed. 1 double bed and a sofa bed for my children to sleep on is inadequate. This motel room would not be worth more than $160 a night. Bed was very uncomfortable, the air-conditioning didn't work and there was no hot water from the kitchen sink. The shower pressure was terrible. The lady at the front desk was helpful and pleasant but I would not recommend this motel for the place. Definitely not 4 stars as advertised.

Average motel in a very average location. Clean but dated, ripped carpet in our room but the bed was very comfy. Really noisy, if you are a bad sleeper then book something else. Would rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere else but it’s clean enough if you are desperate and don’t care about noise.

We arrived just as bins were being emptied. Just Bad timing! Going into room I was dry heaving from smell and maggots lying on the driveway in front of room, this subsided eventually that evening very late. Room very clean and tidy, beds terribly bumpy and uncomfortable, needs cosmetic tidy up, walls fallen down in outside area, bathroom door water soaked stains on bottom. But in all the staff were very helpful and polite. Disappointed no dinners available on a Friday or weekend. After a long drive the last thing we wanted to do was drive around town or go to the pub next door . Pool area really

Julie was fantastic and very understanding as we kept extending stay (5 nights). Very helpful and friendly, which we were appreciative of. The room was very clean and everything supplied was of an excellent standard.Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately we didn't get to dine in or visit pool but restaurant looked good. Would recommend.
