Kate Gibson, the founder and Principal Clinical Psychologist at Mornington Psychology, believes that everyone can benefit from learning skills to manage the various difficulties that can arise across the lifespan, whether these be large or small.
Clinical Psychologist: The cost of a 50-minute consultation ranges between $250-270, with a medicare rebate of $129.55. NOTE: The Australian Psychological Society recommended fee for a 50-minute consultation is $267. To receive the Medicare rebate simply visit your GP to arrange referral. This is a simple process which entitles you to claim for up to 10 individual sessions a year.
Yes you can. However, to access the medicare rebate you will need to visit your GP to obtain a Mental Health Care Treatment Plan. To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you must first see a GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician, who will create a Mental Health Treatment Plan for you. Conditions covered include anxiety, depression, panic attacks, sleep problems, adjustment disorders and all those conditions listed under "Issues we Treat".

Very disappointing service received from Mornington Psychology. Given the advice I received and, more importantly the advice I did not receive, I feel that the psychologist who saw me, is very inexperienced, thus the consultations were a waste of valuable time and money.
Furthermore, Mornington Psychology was unresponsive and it took up to a week for my phone calls and emails to be returned, which meant that I was unable to book appointments within a reasonable time frame. Given the acute issue I was dealing with, this was completely unacceptable.
