Worst place I have ever been to and will never return. Receptionist who booked my session failed to mention that my session would be only 40 minutes long. Extremely unprofessional.
The therapist who was randomly assigned to me does not speak fluent English and could only guess what I was trying to say. Psychology is a pretty deep topic. A therapist should not only be 100% fluent, but needs to understand the language to the point of picking up on cues. The therapist I had failed to do that. The session was a waste of time and money.

Terrible experience with one of their psychologist! The manager did not bother to ring me even after calling and leaving messages twice! Disappointing.

I came here in 2019 for mental health support and saw Sandra M. I’ve been to other psychologists in the past and have experienced similar issues in regards to understanding POC experiences. However in this particular instance, the first five sessions the therapist seemed to be empathetic and kind but that seemed to not be present when I spoke about my experiences with racism. After I confronted the therapist about this, i was asked to seek another POC therapist who would understand my experiences better. If your are a person of colour, this therapist may not be suitable as they appear to have

The staff are horrible. Shout-out to the Practice Manager Cindy and the receptionist. Expect to be spoken to like you're an inconvenience and there is something wrong with you. (Note: there isn't anything wrong with you. You'll get through this...somewhere else)
EDIT: 22/8/20
My therapist called and had been asked to give me an ultimatum: take down the review or else we're done. Imagine a company going through your therapist to manipulate you. Darren Perry, be better.

OK so... you're going to get very different reviews based on which professional you see.
With that said, Dr Darren Perry (Psychiatrist) is fantastic. I think he's an understated/unassuming professional, which IMHO is a compliment/asset in this type of profession. He's helped me a lot, and I'm doing my absolute best to keep seeing him long-term. He gives you plenty of room to talk, and I personally have discovered a lot of insights during our time together.
It's not easy to book in with him, typically with a couple weeks waiting (under mental health care review plan), but it's well worth it.

Unbelievable unprofessional. Consider who you have hired and whether or not your entire staff of practicing managers, receptionists, etc. genuinely understand what they do for a living. You work at a counseling and psychology centre, yet you verbally abuse clients over the phone? Great example of service for clients mainly calling for mental health services. Imbeciles.

I saw two psychologists through the Talk Shop before finding the one who is right for me. I can only guess that the negative reviews here are people who (understandably) don't realise that you really have to "shop" to find the right mental health practitioner for you. I'm so grateful to have found such a great psych who also bulk bills. Truly a life saver.

Dreadful. I attended in 2016 but finally remembered to write a review.
As a mental health practioner my self, I was amazed just how terrible the experience was.
Never again.
Non professional and zero reception. Left sitting in a room for 15mins wondering if you are in the right place.
I was given no response after disclosure other than a quote from google, gee I never thought of that!
Rule 101 of counselling, do not ask a client to be vulnerable and then say Ok today was an assessment and now we will actually "talk" at the next appointment.
Wow, just wow. Therapist was more interested in

Horrific. Walking in the door you're greeted with a cramped waiting room, with no receptionist, a plastic sign with instructions on how to fill out the attendant card (medicare details top of the agenda here). The place had all the charm of an abattoir. Indeed, it seemed as a result of the whole experience, from the overseas call centre making a booking, to the comatose individual I ended up stuffed into a 3 x 3 room with for exactly 52 minutes (not a second more - they had their billable block), that the entire place is geared towards charging medicare for "psychology" services. Do yourself a
