Services
Asquith Veterinary Hospital is dedicated to protecting and supporting native wildlife and treat hundreds of sick and injured critters each year. Contrary to popular belief, we receive no funding for this care. Hornsby Shire is home to 338 native vertebrate animal species. These include echidnas, possums, wombats, wallabies, kookaburras, lorikeets and blue tongue lizards.
At Asquith Veterinary Hospital, you can expect state of the art medical care for your four-legged companions. We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals. You can expect to be greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians.
Just like you, your cat is going to get sick occasionally and you'll likely come home from your veterinarian with some medication to administer. Learning how to do it right will make the process easier both for you and your cat. Always follow the instructions given by your veterinarian. Be sure to administer the full amount of medication over the number of days instructed by your veterinarian.
Congratulations - you have a new kitten! You've anticipated the new arrival by 'kittenproofing' your home and had lots of fun choosing the carrier, bed, blanket, toys and other supplies he or she will need. This adorable little bundle of fluff is sure to bring you much joy.
In return, you can make a major contribution to your pet's longevity, happiness and quality of life by providing him or her with good nutrition, loving attention in a safe, sanitary environment, and regular checkups at your veterinarian. Many veterinarians believe that desexing not only helps solve the serious problem of a burgeoning population of unwanted cats, but also makes for friendlier, easier-to-live-with pets.

Cats were once described as asocial animals, but this is no longer regarded as true. Although very different from dogs, cats also need interaction and most importantly, your loving attention! When you bring a new kitten or cat into your home you'll have to decide whether your pet will live strictly indoors or will be allowed outside.

Brad and his team have been looking after our dogs since the first one was 8 weeks old. 14 years later, we still go to Asquith (half an hour away) for all our vet needs.
They have been great with their care, always available, with reliable advice when needed. Not ever pushing unnecessary products, having earned our trust over these years. Our family has no hesitation in highly recommending this hospital for everyone.

Finally got around to writing this review. This 1 star is based on our very last experience at Asquith Vet. My dog got stung and then had a seizure where she went all stiff as well with no response, so quickly brought her to Asquith Vet, (she was a bit responsive by now but was looking confused) was told by front desk to wait (initially thought the vet would see my girl straight after the current pet patient the vet was with) Nope, turns out i had to wait till all 6-7 patients in reception were all seen before my dog's turn. Well after they called the next patient, needless to say, i left and went

We recently took the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved Milo to sleep after discovering he had metastatic lung cancer...It was absolutely devastating for the whole family. I just want to commend the care and compassion all the staff at Asquith Veterinary Hospital showed. When it came time to euthanise Milo, the vet was in no rush at all. She explained what she was going to do and what would happen...Then she gave us all the time we wanted before administering the medication....Once Milo passed away, and the vet confirmed he had no pulse, she again allowed us as much time as we needed to

A huge thank you to Brad, Chris and the team for looking after our beautiful Charlie Dog in his time of need. Our other vet let us down and Brad took Charlie in and cared for him in his last day when he was so sick with renal failure. Brad and Chris were so caring with their advice and support, phoning us several times through Charlie's last day and then following up after we had to say goodbye to make sure we were ok . Highly recommend.

It’s taken a while to write this review after our cat was euthanised here last year. The process was technically good and the cat didn’t suffer. However, once the decision was made but the cat was still alive the receptionist came into the room to settle the account. This seemed very insensitive. Then both the receptionist and the vet kept hassling us to pick out an urn for the ashes before we left. I understand they have logistics to deal with behind the scenes but it was persistent and upsetting. On other occasions the care here has been fine, although I feel the staff are often rushed and

Would just like to give a quick shoutout to Asquith Vet. After an already distressing week I didn’t think things could get much worse and then it was an after hours trip to the vet with my dog! Their service is amazing and the most caring team of people. Happy to say we are back home and having cuddles in bed! So thank you Asquith Vet, I highly recommend! 💗

I recently consulted Brad Garlick regarding a chronic ear infection in my Lab. Brad has made the right investigations and provided the right treatment. He has gone out of his way to help with administering her medication, even coming in to the clinic when not on duty. I wish to thank him, and his lovely staff. We are most appreciative!Merry Christmas!
