After obtaining her Certificate 4 in Driving Instruction, and undergoing a comprehensive training course with Jeff McDougall from Sydney's largest driving school - Trent Driving School (Upper North Shore) Sydney in 1997, she really delighted in teaching people the skills to become happier and safer when driving.She enjoyed 2 years with Trent, then she decided to branch out on her own, with Liz's Driving School in 1999.

Whatever level of learner driver you are, Helensvale Driver Training has got you covered! From raw beginners to test ready students, we are fully qualified in all aspects of driver training. We will make you comfortable behind the wheel, with our Learn to Drive programme, tailored to your specific needs.
Driving Test - You have been building up to this for at least 1 year, and you have completed the 100 hours driving practice for the log book (unless you are over 25 or are an overseas licence holder). Now you need to know what is required. If you are using you own car for the test, you must ensure first of all, that you have the permission of the vehicles registered owner to use the car for the test.
I have been asked for advice from a parent, her teenager is struggling with remembering road rules. My first suggestion is to actually read the road rules! Many kids think that after watching people drive they already know the rules, but that's not always the case. So sit down with them and read through it together, that way, you can answer any questions they may have.
Driving in the rain is necessary at times. When possible, drivers should avoid driving in conditions that are more likely to cause problems, but if you do have to drive in the rain, here are some valuable tips. Learners 0-10 hours experience - not recommended. Learner drivers with less than 10 hours actual driving experience behind the wheel, should not attempt to drive in wet weather unless with an instructor in a dual controlled vehicle.

Liz is so brilliant that my driving skills improved in a limited amount of time. Driving skills including the vision and the ability to have a moving picture was taught to me during my lessons. Not only she is a good teacher but also a good human being. I would definitely recommend anyone starting out there with their driving to have a go with here.

What can I say from start to finish not only Liz supported my son but also me as a mother. Several attempts with another driving school we decided to do a huge search on the best driving instructor to suit my son. Today Liz supported my son and he got he’s p plates the smile says it all. Forever greatful to this beautiful lady for believing in my son and getting back his confidence after no support and failed attempts we cannot thank you enough Liz🙏❤️

I don’t do recommendations like this but Liz is so good it’s hard not to make one. If I had met her before, I would’ve not wasted time and money with the other instructor who didn’t know what he was doing. On my first day of lesson, I hesitated a lot, was very fidgety, always second guess myself. My confidence was in an all time low. Liz had to rewire my brain and restore my confidence back while creating a fun, calm and no-nonsense learning environment. Tough job to do but she’s naturally good at training safe drivers for life. I eventually found myself excited to be doing lessons instead

Liz was a great instructor during my learners journey and I was fortunate to have her up to my test. She not only corrected my driving, but made sure I understood why it had to change. I suggest Liz either if you are a new driver or just want to clean up on somethings.
