The Gold Coast School of Motoring is one of the longest running Gold Coast Driving Schools on the Gold Coast in beautiful South East Queensland, Australia. It has been owned and operated by Josef Buschor since 1997, helping students get their drivers licence whether they are absolute beginners with no experience, experienced drivers looking for refresh lessons or upgrading their licence from automatic to manual.

Automatic Driving Lessons mean that you will learn to drive a car with an automatic transmission (gearbox). An Automatic car does not need you to change gears while driving forward and has only two pedals; a brake and accelerator pedal (no extra clutch pedal like a manual gearbox car has). The most obvious difference is the gears.
Manual driving lessons mean you will be learning to drive in a manual gearbox car where you select the gears yourself via the gear stick. You also have an extra pedal (over an automatic car) called the "Clutch" that needs to be used when changing the gears. This is a more skilled driving technique than Automatic cars and give the opportunity to drive many different kinds of vehicles in the future.
It's a good idea to use the driving school car to take the driving test as you get a lesson immediately before the test to practice and put your mind at ease. Josef can teach you in either an automatic or manual Suzuki Swift. If you decide to change from an automatic licence to a manual (or vice versa), he can teach you the driving technique for each type of transmission while keeping you in a Suzuki Swift that you are used to.

Josef is an amazing and experienced driving instructor and helped me get my driving confidence up to pass my test on the first go! I’d driven with several other instructors beforehand at another school, but Josef was the absolute best. His lesson packages and prices were great value for money too, especially handy during the pandemic. Highly recommend!

Josef is an excellent instructor, he was very calm and informative. He ensured that I am always aware what’s on the road and what to be cautious of. He also taught me many tips for driving which made me feel more comfortable driving on the road. I would strongly recommend Josef as he would allow you to gain more confidence with driving!

After trying 3 driving schools I’ve finally found the BEST one! 😇😇😇
Josef in the BEST driving instructor I’ve ever had. He’s very patient, kind and very easy to talk with. I never really feel pressured every time I’m in the vehicle with him. 😊😊😊

Today I passed my P's test on the first go and I could not have done it without Josef! Truely the Best money I've spent! Before getting driving lessons with Josef I was so scared of getting in a car and operating it, even just the thought of driving gave me anxiety...But after just one lesson I can easily say that he gave me so much confidence and reassurance! He is such amazing, caring, patient and professional instructor who always made me laugh :) I'm now such a comfortable driver and have learnt so much thanks to him.
