The Marion Hotel was one of the highlight accommodation stays of our South Australia trip.
From the get go the staff member was welcoming and bubbly, she even gave us a free drinkto use at their bar because it was our anniversary. The Treetop room was amazing, very modern and well designed. Would definately stay again.

I've stayed here a few times - the rooms are amazing. I love the decor, beds are ultra comfy - huge baths in the nook and treetops rooms. The food has not disappointed me once. Ive had room service, breakfast and restaurant food. There's a TV in the bathroom so you Cam relax in the bath and watch The Office 😆
Great cocktails and amazing value gin tasting board. They do functions aswell with a few different areas. Planning on booking another stay soon - just coz.

Really great atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, live music playing and some good drink specials. Just had some snacks, the arancheesy were absolutely delicious however my only comment would be that, despite their name, there was no cheese. Will return for a full meal

$19 for a half chicken snitzel and $2 for a thimble of gravey is beyond reasonable...no suitable parking available, clearly forgotten in the redevelopment...would not recommend...very disappointing.

Re plant based menu:
Extremely disappointing. Especially since the last time the mushroom not burger thing was quite delicious.
For one, both of us left hungry. The vegan curry was very bland. The saffron rice was divine.
Partner got white bean bowl. Again, sounded great on the menu. Tinned cold beans, average rice. No flavour. Not filling.
Dear chefs: Just because we're vegans, does not mean we are opposed to food. In fact, herbivores require more food than carnivores because plant material is not as energy dense. I looked with envy at what the omnivore's were eating.

Had an amazing Christmas lunch at the Marion Hotel. 3 course meal included a generous drinks package. Exceptional value. Staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was very Christmassy. I could not fault the food or service. I highly recommend the Marion Hotel for your next meal or event.
Decided to add that with good weather the front dining area is opened up so there is good airflow lessening the risk for COVID exposure.

This hotel used to have a lot more choice when it came to the menu. While there is still a range of foods it is nothing like it used to be.
When you purchase a main meal you can access the salad and veg bar which has roast potato, zucchini and onion, corn, peas and carrots and cheesy broccoli and cauliflower. There was a pasta salad, beetroot and coleslaw (which left something to be desired).
You need to go to the salad and veg bar when you see the size of the meals.
The music was nice and the look of the venue is good but they are the only redeeming factors of this place.

The Marion is my local hotel, and my family has been there many times. Over the years, it's become a bit more upmarket and exotic. I wouldn't go here for a cheap meal, but for a semi formal dinner or event, it works well. A friend had a milestone birthday here in the function room several years ago, which was set up well, and we were served fantastically.
The food is enjoyable enough, it's never been far off par. On a Saturday night, there is often live music and people dancing (like, 6 middle aged people, I mean). There are also video game consoles for children to play - handy

Well, there probably isn't all that much to say about this place other than it is a local pub. Yeah, they do have quite a few gaming machines, but they also have a pretty large restaurant, and accommodation (if you are willing to risk it after reading R.W's thoughts on the place). You tend to only get the locals coming here, especially in the Cue and Brew bar, so don't expect it to be some trendy and hip place for a drink (it's not). Still, there was one time when my friend decided he wanted a drink, and we stopped of here only to discover that the captain of one of the local

I have been here quite a few times now. The main dining room is a great place to get a meal with the family, have a couple of drinks and catch up. The meals are decent sized servings for what you pay (generally between $20 and $30) and are usually flavoursome, well-cooked with good presentation. They have a daily specials menu as well as kids' and seniors' menus with prices to suit the smaller servings. The staff are friendly and helpful and bar staff offer a table service so you don't have to leave your seat to get a drink. My only gripe (which is relatively minor) is that I ordered

MOST AWFUL HOTEL ON EARTH! Why do people go to a hotel? To sleep. What can you NOT do at this pathetic excuse for a hotel? Sleep. This isn't a hotel. It's a rock and roll venue that blasts loud rock music until 12:30 AM. Even though we told them that we had an early flight at the Adelaide Airport a few miles away, they put us in a room 30 feet from the stage. Our whole floor shook and vibrated from the deafening loud music. Do yourself a favor. Sleep at the airport, in your car or in their parking lot, but don't book this hotel and expect to be able to use the bed for anything close

Just had to write a quick review as pleasantly surprised by the Sip n Save drive-through.

I was greeted warmly and pointed in the right direction. After browsing for a few mins was asked if I needed help. Was offered some advice on wine selection. The most surprising part was the fabulous selection of local white wines. I bought an Adelaide Hills, Tapestry Sav Blanc for $11.99. Really loved all the Adelaide Hills wines available.

Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised to find a great selection and knowledgable, helpful staff, but from the outside it doesn't look very inspiring, so it was

Rohan is right, the Marion Hotel has a pretty full on supply of gaming machines but it also has a few other things going for it. This is a basic pub but it's a good basic pub.

If the screens on the pokies aren't enough for you, there are one or two, or twelve large screen TV's placed around the walls in the various bar areas. Head to the Marion on a Friday night and Bart's Bar & Bistro is always full of hungry diners and drinkers. The Cue 'N' Brew Bar is another eating and drinking area and that's where you'll find the biggest number of big screens

I went to a fiftieth here the other week, and it was actually pretty good. It was just in the restaurant area, we had a big table, but the service was great, and they somehow manaed to get all the meals out at pretty much the same time (I've been to pubs that can't manage that when there is two of us, let alone twenty of us!).

The bar is well stocked with a range of different alcoholic beverages, and the gaming area is pretty impressive, which is great if you like the odd flutter on the pokies like I do.

Huge gaming area and a side bar/courtyard is separated by a drive through bottle shop. Bistro dining area, Cue and Brew sports bar (with more gaming), and Bart's Bar. If you haven't picked already, this is the place to come if you are into gaming.

Other happenings are live stand up comedy, live music, and talent competitions, which usually take place in the aforementioned. Cue and Brew sports bar. If the audiences are empty, the acts still get to play to the gaming machines in the corner. Did I mention this place has gaming machines?
