People see psychologists for a range of different reasons, and they use therapy as a tool to help them during times when they are not coping as well as they would like. At the moment your issues may feel overwhelming or never ending, but you are not alone. Together with your psychologist you will work towards achieving your goals, and getting into a better place.

What is involved with Individual therapy is you will discuss your current concerns, then together with your psychologist you will look at what factors are contributing to or maintaining these concerns. Therapy strategies, skills and tools will be tailored to your concerns in order to assist you to better manage the challenges that you are facing.
Services
Typically last 50 minutes. At the first appointment you will be able to discuss your current concerns or difficulties. You and your psychologist will work together to gain a mutual understanding of your concerns by discussing your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and your relevant history. You may be asked to complete some questionnaires.
Psychologists assess, diagnose and treat people with a range of emotional and behavioural problems. Treatment assists people to change their behaviour and thinking styles to help them function more effectively and cope with everyday stressors. Psychiatrists are doctors who have a medical degree and undertake further study to specialise in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental illnesses.
The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) is the only national organisation solely representing clinical psychologists who hold post-graduate qualifications in clinical psychology and meet the criteria established by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) for endorsement as clinical psychologists.

Report
Finally, a psychologist who can apply their knowledge and expertise.
With Lincoln, the therapy is about you and not only from a book.
The relationship you will develop with Lincoln is a genuine one to see you through your concerns. The relationship my family has with Lincoln is such that the therapist is now considered as part of our extended family.
I cannot write (or speak) highly enough of the help received in the past.
If you want genuine help from someone who cares, and who will also tell it straight when required, then Lincoln is the place.
