Dr Louise Johnson has practiced as a psychologist since 2000 in a range of settings providing clinical assessments and therapy for adults, couples, and adolescents. Louise has worked with people experiencing a variety of presenting issues including chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress management, anger, and behaviour problems.
At The Psychology Lounge we provide evidence-based psychological therapy. This means that there is substantial, long-term scientific research to support the therapeutic approaches that we use.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (or ACT for short), is a skills based, experiential therapy, designed to help individuals develop psychological flexibility so that when life's inevitable knocks occur they are able to get back up again and continue with their lives in a meaningful and fulfilling way.
