Services
Managing spinal pain has different stages with multiple components. Detailed assessment from the start usually means more accurate diagnosis and a more direct pathway to recovery. Treatment options often start with pain relief first, using a variety of manual therapy approaches.

However, we then focus on regaining mobility, strength and fitness using a range of exercise programs such as home-based exercise, hydro and swim programs and supervised hi-tech training programs. Each person has their own needs, preferences and diagnosis, so we build a recovery strategy that is specific for you and your injury.
Back pain (+/- leg) is a symptom, not a diagnosis. There are number of causes of back pain. Sometimes a clear diagnosis is present where specific damage to a nerve indicates disc injury. However, much more commonly, back injury arises as a result of overloading/straining an intervertebral joint and/or surrounding muscle.
There are a range of things that create neck pain. Obviously trauma such as a fall or a car accident may trigger neck pain. However more commonly, neck pain arises gradually, over time, as a result of overload and muscular strain. Sometimes there are structural causes that cause compression of nerves or spinal cord but much more commonly, neck pain arises as a result of muscle and postural causes.
The first step is to understand what's causing the pain. Superspine clinicians are trained to establish the likely cause of your pain. There are a range of commonly seen shoulder injuries (rotator cuff tendinopathies and tears, sub-acromial bursitis, adhesive capsulitis, acromio-clavicular injuries etc) as well as more complex injuries that involve neck, nerve and interactions of muscle imbalances.
Superspine works with a number of orthopaedic surgeons to manage hip and knee injuries both pre and post surgery. We follow Australian and international guidelines with a specific strength and mobility program that uses hi-tech and home based exercises. We can also offer precise measurement of function and strength using JTech and DAVID technologies to make sure we know just how well your hip and knee are performing.

Love this place. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and all the physios I've seen have been thorough and comprehensive in their treatment. The equipment is very easy to use, all in a spotlessly clean space.
