Best day out in Edinburgh don't miss the one o'clock gun. Staff are very friendly was great day with my grandson. We loved it. He managed all the steps and the walking. Had a fab time

We loved the castle could have stayed all day. It's historical with many war armoury. So much detail to take in..the tea rooms were a delight.. definitely recommend this historical visit.

Amazing attraction with so so so much history to Scotland. If you take the time to read everything you could easily spend 4 hours here. I went through pretty quick and still spent 2 hours. I would recommend the audio guide.

A very interesting place to visit with all the history and information on the Scottish monachy. The crown is worth a look. Stayed for the one o'clock gun which is really quite loud! Made a lot of people there jump even though they knew it was going to happen. Views over Edinburgh and the Forth are pretty impressive too.

Visited in summer and again now for Xmas/NY, when Castle of Light trail was organized. Great night experience, an amazing sensory show. Highly recommend, I understand it's back now in January. Have a go! (Won't add too many pics to spoil the fun)

Such history contained within those stones. Though it's a tourist destination it is a must see. At 1 pm everyday they fire a Canon off. Clearly heard around the city. Make sure you go while in Edinburgh!!

Great place to visit if you're visiting Edinburgh as you get to see a lot during the walk to the castle. You'll encounter one of the largest souvenir shops just outside the castle. You'll also come across the Scotch Whiskey Experience as well as couple other experiences in the surrounding area. The view from outside the castle overlooking the city is beautiful on a nice sunny day. Overall great place to visit!

Mixed review really. Visited in December 2021 and after paying same admission price as would have done during summer was disappointed to fine that not everything was open. Enjoyed walking around the castle though. Would have only given 3 stars but for one of the staff working there in the war museum who was brilliant when answering all my 11 year old daughter's questions and was very enthusiastic in telling her different facts.

After using the Hop on Hop off bus we called at the castle. The walk up the Royal Mile is a fantastic step back into times gone by. The shops, Inns, houses and museums add to the feeling of the castle. As you walk up to it look to either side of walks at the memorials to various figures. The views over the city, to the sea and also towards Arthur's seat. Its well worth the visit.

Amazingly friendly AND accommodating staff. Bee was so nice to my parents and showed the best customer service I've seen in a decade. The manager actually made us an area to watch the AFL finals even though they didn't have to! 5 stars!

Have a lovely dinner tonight . I had the Tereyaki Salmon which was amazing and so full of flavour. My partner had 500g Rump with Jacket Potato ordered medium rare- cooked to perfection and flavour was superb.… Our friend had 200gr Eye Fillet with Jacket Potato and Garlic sauce, all meals were absolutely beautiful. Compliments to the CHEF, deffinetley be back
