I have trained at Kimekai for well over a 15 years and in all this time I have always loved training here. It is like a second home. I really miss it when I have been away. The skill of the instructors is excellent, they always have a way to help make what looks difficult, easy to do. The training sessions are always enjoyable and a good workout.
I have learned so much over the years, I like that no matter how long I have been coming to Kimekai, there is always something new to learn, something to improve on, it is always interesting. My son and daughter attended the club for over 10 years. Fantastic club with inspirational leadership. A great way to upskill your kids and provide them with many life lessons.

Students here are very, VERY unwelcoming and intolerant of new comers. Super unfriendly, tense and toxic gym culture - the BJJ coach seems very uninterested in the class, usually just stands there chatting to others the whole time, doesn't really pay much attention. Didn't learn anything new, students weren't interested in showing me anything either and took advantage of my lower skill level. No one introduced themselves despite my efforts. One student screamed at me during drills because they couldn't get the move right, then realised they were doing it wrong and didn't bother to apologise. Awful

My son in Kimekai Highett! This is the best place for the kids. My son is 4 years old. He is very shy. Even he is sacred to go the room. But the teacher have a lot of patient. Adrian, Corinne, Nick, Kyle, Taetia, Linda and Sheraton, they are so Great!!!!! I am highly recommend all kids to come to Kimekai!!!!

My son has been going since four. He graded black belt thunderbolts and now is a young samurai.
The support, self discovery, opportunities and learnings he has gained from the HIghett team and this sport is the best. With more enthusiasm and focus for karate my son still wants to attend 🙏🏼 and counts down to every opportunity to improve and to then grade. ( now only seven) I am so glad he loves this sport and recommend Kimekai without hesitation. They really know how to take your child on a journey.
