The Houses Daylesford

Booked and paid for a house in December. One week prior to arriving received a call and was advised that due to an issue with the house we could not stay there.
No effort was made to find a comparable alternate solution.
Alternate house offered that did meet location, bedroom + pet friendly criteria was 5x the cost 😭🤣.
Team member that called was… not interested in finding a solution, did not take ownership of the situation, had no empathy, lacked basic communication skills and manors.
We requested a refund, which they agreed to, but still took a follow up call and email

Have rented homes through them a number of times, great customer service and accomodation is always impeccable

When booking luxury accomodation, it's the details that matter, service is everything.
Unfortunately, property managed by The Houses Daylesford, do not understand that.
In times of uncertainty and disruption, do not book your stay here.
Communication is inconsistent, monosyllabic, flippant, lacking empathy and sadly behind the times. They are happy to put all the risk of booking with the customer.
Our trip was cancelled due to the most recent Covid breakout in Victoria and, unlike other accomodation providers, no refund has been offered. As best as I can tell they have been able to re-sell

We had to postpone our original stay with The Houses last year due to Covid restrictions, and also had to cancel one later this year due to a health crisis with a member of our family. On both occasions they have refused to refund our money, which is a considerable amount. We no longer want to go to Daylesford for a holiday, as our circumstances have changed considerably. They have been unfair and uncaring, and I feel they are just STEALING our money. I would never recommend booking through them.

Have just had a couple of nights in the Circa Ivy cottage. It was absolutely delightful with a huge bath that was so relaxing. Immaculately clean, warm, charming and the small food pack most appreciated. The… location is perfect, as the main Street is just a short stroll away. Perfect for a couple. Blake's Grocery store just 100 metres away. Absolutely brilliant!! We will be back!

Dalesford is one of our favourite victorian destinations and whenever we stay there is at The Houses Daylesford.
Great people great service and great facilities beautifully located in the heart of Daylesford. Cannot wait to stay again. We highly recommend a stay.

Our group of 12 stayed with The Houses Daylesford at their Lewellyn House over the June long weekend - 2020.
Our time exceeded all expectations.
The house is absolutely stunning, with a mix of entertaining/dining areas to suit all sorts of weather. The setting is 10/10!
Theresa's finishing touches were beautiful. All the little things were thought of and meant there was never a dull moment.
Lewellyn is set in a perfect Daylesford location.
Put this house on your Daylesford bucket list - it is a ripper.

We have stayed in Daylesford a handful of time, always with The Houses Daylesford.
They are a great family business and their product/service has made our trips unforgettable over and over again.
Highly recommend you get in touch if you are considering a Daylesford weekend away.

Dreadful policy of keeping deposit for 2 years despite giving one year's notice that due to Covid our mainly overseas and interstate families will not be coming Christmas 2021 I'm sure they will rebook the house and that way get our money for 2 years and a new rental. Maybe in their terms but unethical and will in no way cause them loss. We will never use them again or recommend them and will always book in the future with an agency where it is possible to cancel at full refund

Review on behalf of . We stayed at the Lake Daylesford Country House last week. We expected 8 people to come along and ended up with 6. The house was very comfortable and beautifully furnished.… Everything we needed was provided. We loved the orange scented soap. The gardens were like being in paradise. We were walking distance to the lake and my grandson thoroughly enjoyed swimming in there. My son-in-law did most of the cooking. There were so many places to sit and be together. Everybody in the group enjoyed it. I hope the new owners will keep the place as beautiful and useful. The team

The Raglan is immaculately clean with comfortable beds, and space to relax, all while being situated minutes walk to restaurants.

We had a booking but unfortunately due to some circumstances had to cancel it. Due to this we lost our deposit which was fine - but dealing with their manager Tristan - it came across as quite uncaring or even somewhat rude. Would not book with them again, I’m sure the houses themselves are very nice.

We stayed at the Piccadilly house. This was supposed to be an upgrade from the hardwood house that we originally had wanted as it was double booked. As this house sleeps 10, we were a group of 6. Plenty of beds… and space. We did run out of hot water, there were possums in the ceiling which left a strong urine smell which wafted through the place and woke us on a couple of different very early mornings. After speaking to management about this, he was going see what he could do, no return phone call. This house needs TLC. We had kids with us, so the super creeky floor was very noisy and attention

Would recommend The Daylesford Houses. We've just stayed at The Raglan which was superbly located walking distance to restaurants, with comfortable beds, very clean and with nice spaces to relax.

We stay at Oxford, beautiful big lounge area for us with great aircon, all of the bedroom are good, except 4 bedroom without aircon is a bit hard on a hot day, fly screen will be great so can open windows without bugs coming in, staff are very helpful, overall a great stay.

Stayed at The Station House - great location and beautiful house - perfect for our family gathering ! Staff of The houses Daylesford made the stay so easy - recommending caterers, restaurants etc and making sure the heating was on before we arrived ! Would definitely recommend their properties when staying in Daylesford and surrounds.
