Services
Castle Dental opened in 2010. After working in the private and public sector, Dr Ken Lau had his own vision for the delivery of dental care. His approach to dentistry and dental care has been adopted by the whole team. Our team at Castle Dental believes in creating, building and nurturing a relaxed friendly working environment.
Dr Ken Lau graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007. During his final year, Dr Ken Lau trained at Redcliffe Base and Bundaberg Base Hospital. After graduation, he felt that he needed to return to Redcliffe and Bundaberg to give some of his time back to the places where he received such great mentoring.
At Castle Dental, we offer the Inman Aligner to move teeth and improve smiles. It is a game changer in orthodontics. We can now straighten teeth without braces. It is an alternative to conventional orthodontics or clear braces. It has the ability to quickly and safely move teeth to achieve a bright and brand new smile.
At Castle Dental, we run the only Fresh Breath Clinic in Brisbane's inner north to treat bad breath. We are part of the Australian Breath Clinic group. As a fresh breath clinic, we offer a range of cutting edge services and products not available in most dental practices. On top of being a dental practice, as a fresh breath clinic, we have a gas chromatograph, the Halicheck Oralchroma machine.
Plaque is a film of bacteria. Plaque releases a gas (hydrogen sulphide). This gas smells like rotten eggs. Plaque takes about 12 hours to accumulate. Hence the reason dentists recommend brushing twice a day. Sometimes after a long day the film of bacteria can be felted and we often describe this as having "furry" teeth.

I have a extreme fear of needles. I can honestly say Ken treated me with so much respect when I acted like a pork chop. And the beautiful Maddy held my hand like a mumma bear each time.

From the first time I found Castle Dentist in 2011 I will NOT go any where else, the whole staff are friendly and Ken and the girls are professional and make you feel welcome and look after you that your important to them not just another customer.
I would TOTALLY recommend this dentist to anyone, I drive from the north side about 35-40 mins because they are so good 😊 you become a part of a family atmosphere so Thank You guys 😊👍🏼

I never go to the dentist enough and Dr Ken was great. The staff are all very friendly and professional. Through chats with Ken I discussed that I love Hamish and Andy and before I could open my mouth to say ahhhh he had started streaming the latest Hamish and Andy series on the tv! Now this is service. Before I knew it the check up / clean was over thanks to Kens gentle use of the tools and his television distraction method.
I told him about my previous dental issues to see what he would suggest. He was very open and honest and did not try to upsell at all as he said my teeth were i good condition

Ken and the team are amazing. Very professional, friendly, caring and competent.
The wife recommended my visit after her great experience at Castle Dental late last year. And boy was she right! They made me feel very comfortable and valued as a patient. No rushing or pressure to get you out of there fast. Just a genuine caring attitude and respect.

Ken and the fantastic Castle Dental team provide wonderful service! I can honestly say that I haven't had a painful visit to this practice ever - which is testament to the excellent preventative care I receive.
