Thornbury Family Dental is a state-of-the-art dental clinic opened by Dentist Dr Oliver Liao and Dr Alice Chen in 2017. With a convenient and accessible location on High Street in Thornbury, Dr Oliver and Dr Alice are pleased to deliver excellent dental care with compassion and kindness to our growing community.

Oliver knew early on that he wanted to work in the medical profession, in a career that involved helping others. To keep abreast of the latest in dentistry, Oliver has taken numerous continuing education courses, including ones on dental implants, restorative dentistry, endodontics and much more. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association.

I’m one of those people who just can’t deal with going to the dentist, so I put it off as long as possible (like 15 years). When the time came to go - Dr Amy and her nurses have been nothing short of exceptional. I’ve had a few visits now and cannot recommend this practice enough, especially if you need a little extra care. They’re the best. Hands down.

I have had the greatest experience since going to thornbury family dental. Weird to say about a dentist but couldn’t be more true! I was petrified of the dentist and even my first appointment I had a cry with Dr Oliver. But he made me feel at such ease and always explained every step of the way. Not only was he a great doctor but the whole team down at thornbury family dental are all so lovely and polite. They are all so engaging and ensure you are as comfortable as you can be. Thornbury Family Dental has changed not only my smile but my attitude towards dentists. I went to see Dr Alice over a year ago terrified of going to the dentists after years of bad experiences. Dr Alice treated me with kindness and understanding and I always walked out with more confidence after each treatment. She always talked me through each procedure and made sure I was comfortable. I cannot recommend her and Dr Oliver enough. I now have an amazing smile and a new found appreciation of going to the dentist. I had always been scared of dentist until I met Dr Oliver. He was understanding, caring, gentle, patient and skilful. He and the team provided professional service and outstanding treatments! The place is also hygienic which makes me feel safe. Dr Oliver eased my dental anxiety! I have been visiting Thornbury Family Dental for few years now and I don’t have a plan to visit other dental clinics.

I am a long term patient of Dr. Alice. It has been a wonderful experience to get dental care and procedures done at the clinic. Treatment is cost effective. I am very satisfied with the outcome of my procedure. Throughout the treatment, Dr. Alice and her staff were very friendly, approachable, professional and provided detailed explanations. It is a wonderful clinic for families and I would certainly recommend their service to my friends and family.

I’ve had nothing but fantastic experiences at Thornbury Family Dental. Dr Oliver and team are great, and I always feel very comfortable and welcome when attending appointments. Dr Oliver is consistently efficient, transparent, and upfront, which is always appreciated!

Thornbury Family Dental is such a welcoming and friendly dentist. I have been visiting this practice for the past 18 months and I thoroughly recommend the team. I usually feel quite anxious when I see any health professional, particularly dentists but over 5 months ago I needed to see a dentist with really short notice. I called a few places around and came across Thorbury family dental. I was greeted by the lovely receptionist Raquel who found an appointment for me immediately and booked me in with Dr.… Oliver.
