Spargo's
Where do we start? Its been a while now so our memory may have faded a little. It may sound like the start of a joke, but there was a Polish, Australian & Italian who came together for a love of all things food and coffee to give you Spargo's Caf + Bar. We have been part of the Westfield Marion Entertainment Complex since 1997 and to this day, we still have the same love for food and coffee, although there seems to be a lot more eating.

Food has changed quite considerably in the last 15 years and we like to think we have changed with it. We understand that everyone is different, from Almond or Zymil milk with your coffee to Gluten Free Pizza or Pasta. We will always do our best to cater for your needs and if you don't see it on the menu, just ask.

The Pollo gambero was the best vegan chicken we ever had. The service was very friendly and speedy. There were a few substitutions but the staff were apologetic and attentive.

My family came in lunchtime today, thought we would try them out.
Unfortunately we were not happy with the quality of the meals.
The Chicken Focaccia was over flowing with Lettuce with only 4 or 5 very thin slithers of chicken in it. The actual Focaccia was tasteless and so was the chicken. No flavour at all. Considering the high price, there should've been alot more chicken. You need to balance out the ingredients.
As for the Pizza. As pictured was not cooked properly, it looked and tasted like old dough. There was no colour in it. Was completely white and very chewy.
We took nearly all the

Spargo's is a great place has been around a long time. The food has always been very good and have never had a bad meal from there. The other night we had the GAMBERI LINGUINE and the CLASSIC CEASER SALAD both were excellent. Their pizzas cooked in the wood fired oven are also very nice. Highly recommended having a meal here..

Never had a bad meal here. Most recently I would say I had the best chicken parmigiana I've ever had the pleasure of eating. On a side note the waitresses are really nice. In particular Lucy. She's amazingly good at her job and has a personality that's genuine and leaves you wishing you could eat at Spargo's. breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food was nice and came out quickly however the value just wasn’t there, mostly bulked up with rocket and not much avocado, would expect some bacon or halloumi with the smashed avo for $20.50. Staff were friendly and place was clean.

My partner and I decided, despite its reputation, to give this place a chance.. we really shouldn’t have. The incredibly friendly and accomodating servers almost made up for the fact that we were given the worst bruschetta we’ve both ever experienced.
If paying $14 for a serve of toast with plain diced tomato, x4 pieces of basil (which were so bland that you could mistake it for spinach) and a few bits of bocconcini (can you get bocconcini in a can? If so, that would explain it) and with absolutely no garlic, olive oil (thankfully the lovely wait staff didn’t hesitate to accommodate us with

Honestly I really, really didn't like this place. Okay, this is one of those cafes that has been around for as long as I can remember, but it certainly doesn't mean that it is any good. In fact, it is pretty bad to be honest with you. I guess the main reason had a lot to do with the tea, namely that the water that they used tasted pretty foul. Honestly, I'm not all that sure why it was the case, but it certainly was one of the worst that I have every tasted. Oh, and the service really wasn't that great either, so I guess there is that as well.

I went for a quick drink with family, I hadn't been there in many years, it's great to see how well it is doing still. I had a freshly mixed juice - apple/peach/kiwi.... very refreshing, loved it. Service was quick!
The decor is very appealing and it's open with lots of natural light.
However it can be quite noisy when the restaurant is busy.
Only 3 because I didn't eat anything from the menu.

Worst food and service ever in my life. To be honest I would not give any star for this restaurant.
We ordered 2 plates of pasta and 1 pizza but one of the pasta was served with the other pasta noodles that we didn't order. We immediately called the staff to explain the situation and they admitted their mistakes. However, we could not get any word of apology from them.
They didn't even aware their problems and ask back what is the problem.
Above all, the food was very bad and took an hour for the food to come out even though there were not many customers in the restaurant. Also, we left more

Good coffees and service. My order did not take a long time to come.
However, the cake tasted like that it had a long time after it was made. I really wonder when was it made.
I ordered poached eggs but the eggs were like boiled eggs. This was disappointing.
Also, the table and seats that we had a seat at were dirty. They were not cleaned properly and there were some food scraps left on the table and the seats as well.

Plenty of seating in this restaurant inside a shopping centre! I mean this place is huge. I can't imagine what's it must be like when it's full.

I thought the food was good - we had a cajun chicken pizza, which was big enough for two to share, and it was great. I also had a slice of cake and a coffee and they were both good too. The kitchen is somewhat open and we watched them making their own pizza dough.

The prices were ok. The bill came to $36 for the things I mentioned above.

I like that they're open late, even after the rest of the shopping centre is closed (to match

Great place to eat before the movies and a great selection on the menu. I have been here on numerous occasions and i love the typical cafe style and atmosphere. I am impressed with their improvement on their healthy options but would absolutely love if they did healthy smoothies all day as opposed to breakfast. When I went there I tried to order a salad but they were out of Quinoa and did not want to make any more and told me it needed to have brown rice instead. Not a huge problem, but something that the kitchen could have easily fixed.

I've probably dined here a dozen times over the last 6 years, and I've never been dissatisfied. They've a very fast paced place obviously from how busy they get and what they provide to their customers. I see it's a well equipped restaurant with a real wood-oven, huge kitchen and dining areas, various display fridges, full bar...

Since I don't live in this area I only really come here for a catch up with people around this area, or as an easy meal to have before the cinemas at Marion.

The last time I came I see they've done some renovations and face lifts, and have

Unfortunately, Spargo's is as disappointing as its décor is tacky and outdated. I went there with a friend before heading to a movie upstairs at Greater Union Marion, but I was wholly discouraged by almost every aspect of my Spargos experience. First of all, the way they take orders is odd and if you order a coffee you have to wait until they make it before you, yourself have to take it to the table which is awkward if you are with a big group or have children and are clogging up the ordering area. Secondly, all of the staff we encountered looked like they wanted to be elsewhere and couldn

Spargos has been around for a while and has been the place to go for the younger crowd and families before the movies. The movie dinner deals are good value and so is the food in general. Like good old fashioned Italian cuisine, the serves are generous and still accompanied by free bread!

On a recent visit, I tried the tortellini orientale which is an interesting east meets west pasta dish, involving seeded mustard. A strange combination but surprisingly good. One thing that is pretty good at Spargos is the coffee, before cibo opened up, it was the only decent coffee in the Marion shopping
