As locals we were bored with what was being offered locally. So we travelled the world to find the best of the best and bring it back home to the Gold Coast. We have undergone a complete new restaurant renovation, new menus, new logos, new uniforms and new equipment (including a wood fire pizza oven straight out of Verona, and a parilla South American fire grill).
Like we said, a whole new everything! Going out on the Gold Coast just got white hot, and that means no more boring Gold Coast dining for families, friends, parties and groups. A huge choice of our breakfasts are fresh and fast. Juices are pressed and the coffee's quick. Pizzas are hand stretched using the best Italian ingredients and cooked in our imported Italian rotating wood fire pizza oven.

My husband and I went to try Nona's today after reading excellent reviews. We ordered the pasta with garlic prawns takeaway. The girl at the register was lovely. We were happy to receive our order to take home for dinner, however when we got home we found a good serving of prawns but it was dry and had not much sauce no garlic flavour and wasn't creamy like a good fettuccine pasta I have had before. We are quite disappointed after paying money and not getting what we paid for.

Best Mediterranean salad in town. Seafood basket was tasty and servings generous but service slow despite few customers about. We felt neglected by having to wait too long for the menus which never came, and the male at the counter totally ignored us when we went to pay. We had to go to a different counter where a friendlier female staff processed our bill.

This place has really good food, but I found that the staff weren't as attentive as I have experienced in other restaurants. For example, when we were shown to our table, we were told we would be brought menus in a minute, but five minutes later we had to get up and find them ourselves.
Aside from that small hiccup the only negative was the speaker system, through which I could only hear hi-hats and cymbals, as well as heavily muffled vocals. For non-musicians, this wouldn't be noticeable, but it ground my gears a bit. I understand that the music needs to be balanced in a way to allow for conversation
