For fifteen years Bridie has met the psychological needs of her clients. Bridie is a counsellor and music therapist who is registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association and Australian Counselling Association. Bridie has extensive experience in supporting young children with a disability to reach their potential, often working along side allied health professionals such as speech and occupational therapists.

It may address physical, psychological, emotional, cognitive and social needs of individuals within a therapeutic relationship. Music therapy is a registered allied health profession.' Qualification: Bridie possesses a Masters in Counselling (Murdoch University) and Masters in Expressive Therapy (Music Therapy). Therefore a wide range of methods can be incorporated into a counselling session. Some of the approaches to counselling commonly used are: mindfulness, psychodynamic, gestalt and narrative therapy and creative therapy.
Support for a child who has a sibling or parent with a disability or mental/physical illness. You can benefit a great deal from having their issues validated and normalised by their peers. Children who have issues related to the topics as well as general therapy issues, not covered in the topics. Children engage in standard counselling interventions as well as expressive therapy tools such as: music, art, drama and play therapy.
Expressive therapy is the term used to describe the personal expression of one's thoughts, emotions and experiences through art, sand tray, music and drama therapy. Issues: Sammy was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder many years ago, for a long time she had been working with psychologists to understand her mental health symptoms.
